For sure man!
Always helps when you know you can't concede from a through ball.
Nice folk up there in the bridge. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Monarchs 1 - 2 Hahndorf (8-3)

Great to finally get points on the board and some confidence back into the side. Next round can't come soon enough.

that doesn't help either!! We had an official ref today, player running through midfield puts a through ball to a forward, the forward knows he is offside so just stands there and watches the ball roll into space, the midfielder keeps running collects his own ball and is offside according to the linesman, and the official ref agrees.

Sat Div 4

A's
Torrens Valley 2 Cove 1
Top of table clash, great competitive game, more than a fair result in the end.

B's
TV 0 Cove 1
Cove have a good young squad

Thanks to all that made it up to the Valley, weather was complete shite but the crowd for both teams was great.
Look forward to the return leg

Our div 6 side (Flinders) turned up at 10.30 in preparation for an 11.30 kickoff, only to be told the game had been moved to 1pm, which apparently had been approved by the league, but we weren't informed by either St Peters or SAASL. Our players had made plans (including work) based around the game going ahead at the scheduled time and we were left with no choice but to forfeit.

They should forfeit if they can't play at the designated time.

Yeah that happened to us when we played St Peters. Seems they told the league that all their Sat Div 6 home games needed to be at 1pm due to ground availability

We went back through our correspondence from the league and we were notified as part of another letter they sent out and it was missed.

Should serve as a warning to the other teams still to play them at their ground. 1pm kick off for those games

They shouldn't play in that division if they're not going accept the division's kick off time.

I'm guessing Breakers won and put their rubbish in the bins, as Gleeson only post comments if they win, or have to clean up rubbish left behind. :D

Assuming, the above is correct, that breakers were at home. Why would Gleeson care if breakers decided not to pick up their rubbish all the way down there?

It would be Gleeson's responsibility though to not act like pikeys and clean up their own shit. I would hope they also supported the home bar and didn't bring their own beer.

I see after all these years Budapest still have the same cheating linesman. Fortunately he only did the reserves game. Budapest took the lead after a howler from the Murray Bridge keeper although personally I thought it was offside but neither the Murray Bridge linesman nor the referee gave it and the goal stood. Two more goals from defensive mistakes saw Budapest lead 0-3 at half time. Not much between the sides in the second half but the result never looked in doubt.

In the first team Murray Bridge did all the early running and lead 3-0 at one stage. Budapest pulled two back before half time, the second from the spot in what was more or less was the last kick of the half. Only the one goal in the second half but there could have been more.

I was disappointed there was no food for sale. I don't know if this is a regular thing or I just came on a bad day.
Jeremy Paxman are you for real ? .. I would stick to your search for food rather than your ignorant football assessments … ps how could the Budapest player be offside when played back by a MB defender to keeper ..keeper received couldn’t control and was megged for a Budapest goal..

It wasn't a back pass, it was ball that when played forward rebounded off a Budapest player back over his head.

B's 3-3 and C's 3-0 to BOSA
League has BOSA 3-0 against Titans in the B's, was there a forfeit or punishment for playing an ineligible player?

Or was there an error in the entry of the scores by the SAASL?

Which is more likely?

Considering a forfeit is 2-0 I reckon that is more likely

Titans 2-0 up at halftime. Then 3-2 down with 10 minutes to go. Final score 3-3.

Yeah fair enough. I could understand an issue with a score however not the result.

Still it's only B grade so I'm sure it will get sorted in time.

SAASL are still correcting a scoring error from round 3 so I reckon it's the latter

What I don't get is they list 'GF' in every league, yet no team matches 'top goal scorers'. I've noticed some teams are missing up to 12 goal scorers, for example 29 'GF' yet only '17' allocated in goal scorers lists, and this is in AB&C leagues, must be a hell of a lot of own goals getting about.

Round five also needs some corrections.
