Most clubs have actually started and thrived with this sort of plan and gone on to get promoted, organise youth teams and generally become an active and positive part of the football landscape. Hatchet used Centrals above as an example and I couldnt agree more. They have juniors sides as well. Without this start up, this would not have happened and these young kids may not have felt comfortable playing for a different local side.

Its mostly positve and a great idea by the government to use sport to integrate immigrants into the community. Cause one team stuffs up and isnt sufficiently punished is not a reason to assume that we are all idiots and that it isnt working.
with respect disappointment I can see that you have joined after last season finished. I would strongly encourage you to filter through all the past threads from previous teams/seasons. there is at least one of these incidents every year.

Its all good. As I said, its this team as a main. Theres been a coupld of incidents in the last 5-10 years, but its mostly only 1 or 2 sides constantly reforming. Maiwand/AYS and Black Eagles/BESA etc. The number of positive responses far out weighs the negative.

ive said this before. if the stupid govt stop thowing away OUR bloody money to the league to set up these winkers, the league would get rid of them quicksmart and return the rest of the clubs to normality. do the govt pay their rego fees as well. only asking.
We were advised that the reason they were 'removed' from the league is due to the current issue that happened with the ref vs Angle Vale and also as they had not PAID thier registration fees to SAASL yet... with that in mind, if they arent paying fees with Govt funds, what are they doing with it??
I think the haters should make their minds up - are they bad because the government are paying everything for them, or are they bad because they aren't paying their fees?
King Lefty would have to speak up. Try looking at the world with both eyes rather than just your left one. Government are paying a lot of money (which means we are paying a lot of money for them) and still they're not paying their way.

Well if they still can't afford to play, I'd say maybe the government aren't giving them as much as you think.

Can't pay or don't want to pay?

I don't know how much they get but it's too much as I'm not a racist like some.

Apparently $1 of charity is $1 too much to help someone who's family has been slaughtered before their eyes.

Good to hear you don't believe in equality, isn't that the basis of a racist?

So we shouldn't help people who are in need?
We shouldn't pay pensions or unemployment benefits, because that's not equality?
We shouldn't send aid to countries who experience natural disasters (droughts, etc), because that's not equality?

look the bottom line should be that charity begins at home. havent seen too many reffos, asylum seekers, boat people and all the other confusing names except the right one TRESPASSERS sleeping on park benches like homeless australians have to. we have hungry aussie kids as well and how seeing our overpaid, overfed, overpriveledged govt wants to go back in time to the days of master and servant again,i cannot see things changing in the not too distant future. they tell us the countrys broke but they still want to kick the peasants, thats us by the way, rather than stop giving our money to foreign countries like indonesia, india, pakistan and afghanistan who treat us like the silly buggers we are. with contempt.

I would help people in need but I would help them equally, not just because they are from a particular country.

You have been shown up as the racist here. The basis of racism is to treat people differently based on their race or nationality, which is exactly what you are doing.

When dealing with money spent by Australian governments there should only be one nationality that these decisions are based on. Helping ALL Australians and not differentiating others because they are from a particular country.

yes you are, you are saying that because this group of people had their families slaughtered in front of them then they should get differential treatment. Yet, you offer no proof that this happened to them at all.

You are stereotyping based on their nationality. This is the 21st Century, get up to date bigot.

I agree, we should support and help immigrants assimilate.

but once you've had several instances of being kicked out of a league due to violence, funding is cut

I agree.
I think that where a club is kicked out of the league through repeat violent offences, the players and officials registered to that club should be banned from any involvement in the league for say the following two seasons.
Also, someone banned a second time in that way should be banned for life.

So, you're happy to ban what could be a completely innocent person for 2 years. I'm glad you're not a judge.

everyone is missing the main point. muslims are a different breed, they are not immigrants as you assume. they do not assimulate like poms greeks, italians etc and they think multiculturism is a dirty word. they regard the rest of the world as weak and inferior to them. they arrive here with chips on both shoulders and are not gratefull for their so called deliverance which is probably why they like causing trouble.

Why do you compare muslims with greeks and italians? One is a religion and the others are nationalities.

I've been living here for 7 years after emigrating from the UK. Payed my taxes each year, contributed to the community etc ... If I lose my job, I won't be eligible for any government benefits for a further 3 years ...

My family forked out a fortune to move here, yet people who arrive illegally are placed in homes, given government handouts willy nilly. Talk about equality ... bah !

Anyway, besides the point. They have been deservedly kicked out the league. END OF.
