The B grade game was an absolute disgrace. South Coast dominated the opening half going up 2-0. Their ref then awarded Ghan a penalty for a reason no one knew as he didn't care to explain himself, a trend that continued for the whole 90 mins. The linesman then flagged for offside when they scored but the referee thought he had a better view of it from the other half of the pitch. When our players began voicing their concerns at the fact they were being awarded free kick for almost everything, he decided to start booking players left right & centre before sending one of ours off. After that the game got a little nasty and proved our undoing ... He might as well have put Ghan down for 3 points before the start of the game.

The A grade saw a decent first half. Ghan scored early but our star man copped a high boot to the face (as the last man) resulting in a converted penalty. He ended up in hospital with blood coming out everywhere. It was a decent game and at the start of the second half, Ghan put their foot down and really played well with some great passing play to see the game out.

Yes, well done Farm.
Not a bad result, considering they played 35 minutes in the second half with 10 men.

Amazing Jonesy!
Great to have a player of that quality in our leagues still.
As if he was ever retiring!

chickenowski must do something to restore credibility to the saasl before its too late. the safety of players from normal clubs must be paramount. im sure if any normal club turns on these muslim heros and gives them a touch up chickenowski and co will be down on them quicksmart, plus the bloody police. its just
Re: Results SUNDAY 18th MAY
The saasl don't like any negative publicity, yet it's only when attacks cause serious injury and make headline news, that they are forced to actually take decisive action. Little do the reporters know these teams just re-register under different names.
Maybe Frank Pangallo should be called into action, albeit at a safe walking pace.

Could even consider having Coppers present for a stand by breach of the peace at their games. Might be a waste of resources but might also force them into behaving like normal members of society.

The league have a bit of coin in the bank, that wouldn't be a bad idea just take a couple off revenue camera oops I mean safety camera duty........Se7en wrote:Could even consider having Coppers present for a stand by breach of the peace at their games. Re: Results SUNDAY 18th MAY
Wow, you guy's are giving cops way too much credit here. Do you honestly think they would waste their valuable time on this when there are so many fines to be issued, and crime scenes to attend. Let's not forget, cops are the kings of post incident investigation, not pre-incident response or control. Don't waste their time because you think you're going to be murdered; only call them once its actually happened.

anyone know what happened in the ressies match between inter and florina? someone at my work was saying as they got there the game was being called off and red cards were being flashed around everywhere...

I understand they get the government grants and thousands of dollars in the coffers. At what price do you put on someones safety. There are several threats, jibes and comments made through many games throughout the year. 99% of these are just banter and sledging. When these guys make the comments they mean it.
What about the league showing some initiative and educating these clubs on legitimate behaviour. Not just a print out of the rules and regulations but suspend them from the league until they attend education sessions on how to behave on the field. I understand they have different cultural behaviour and rules and regulations from their country, but it is all too common the attack on the referee for what they feel are bad decisions.
Most individuals go out and play the game that they feel is just a kick around. Most guys are past their prime and go out to continue to play the game they love aswell as get some much needed excersize. The last thing anyone wants is rage. I understand the white line fever scenario, but at the end of the day are we not doing it for fun. Everyone gets frustrated and annoyed at either their own game or that of an official. Is it worth making a c*#t of yourself by going after the official. No because most of your team mates will restrain you. Not with these guys, they too will chase the official and it is up to the other side to protect him.
SAASL have to take action before someone ends up hospitalised or worse still. "Ever heard of the coward punch in society at the moment". It only takes one moment of stupidity and it changes everything.

seaford did and the video given to police. seven had a ball with it ( soccer violence etc ). seafords keeper and sweeper taken to hospital. didnt do seaford any good in the end, no justice for them which is why the club decided not to play any of these islamic clubs last season. since the police and the league decided to take the path of least resistance seaford thought it would be prudent to do the same and at the same time protect their players. its a pity other normal clubs didnt follow seafords example. perhaps the troubles we are seeing again this year may have been sorted by now.reddevil wrote:Easiest thing to do with suspect opposition is to video the game?
