Internazionale striker Alvaro Recoba has confirmed reports that he intends to leave the San Siro at the end of the season.
Recoba - who had been a favourite of Massimo Moratti - has become increasingly frustrated under Roberto Mancini during the past couple of seasons and has admitted he is looking elsewhere in a bid to return to regular first team football.
"I am disappointed that I was unable to give my contribution to the team this season," Recoba said. "It will be sad to leave but I can't stay here without having the opportunity to regularly play in the starting XI."
Uruguay international Recoba joined Inter ten years ago in 1997 but has only managed to intermittently show his potential with his most consistent spell came during a six month loan to Venezia when he scored 11 goals and provided nine assists in 19 games.

its so sad with Recoba...he is just a freak...he would be the world's best player if he actually worked harder...he couldve been the best player in the world over the last few years....
now with his wasting of time, laziness and of course a few injuries, he'll go down as a wasted and lazy (as well as sometimes unlucky) talent...
still, one has to wonder with Recoba, what could have been!
