Is Modbury Vista don't win the C Grade, I know nothing about football. Unbelievable team. Best one I've seen in a C Grade for a long time (sorry Brahma)
Always good to have positive feedback, the lads are playing some good stuff, football is a simple game, it's when you over think it it becomes hard.......Leicester till I die !!!

End to end stuff at the Grove today. The game could have ended 10 all with both teams passing up some absolute golden scoring opportunities. Grove just managed a late one to snatch it. Thought both keepers were best on ground and pulled off some rippers at each end. Ref made some interesting calls but with all the squandered chances he didn't decide the game.

I'd smash Kelly Brook's back doors in.

A's
Port Pirie -1
South Coast United - 0

B's
Port Pirie -6
South Coast United - 2

-

South Coast outgunned in the B's and very unlucky in the A's. A communication mishap between our CD & GK allowed their stiker to nip in and tap in their goal. After hitting the bar and having the goalie parry away from a second half free kick, we were really very unlucky not to come away with anything. At least we have the long trip out the way early.

knights lost 10 nil. can't believe that. please confirm thats correct 10 NIL. looks like their season will be as long as all the other teams, very LONG
Not a great day for Knights, Reserves looked comfortable for most of the game and were 1-2 up with about 15 minutes to go...can only put it down to overall fitness and player numbers.
In the A's Knights opened up the scoring with an unfortunate own goal....were outclassed on the day but Knights pretty much held their own for abot 30 minutes but eventually were 3-0 down by half time. After the break Gardens just steamrolled Knights with some classy finishing from Brain, Arambatzis and a long list of others....as stated 10-0 was the final score. :(
Was always going to be a long season...Knights have had a few of them in recent years..

Had a bit of a laugh with Gardens after the game, thanks for the hospitality...bit of a learning curve today (thought we'd learnt that preseason last year !!).
Was a great day weather wise, shame we didn't hold on in the reserves was a 'backs to the wall' effort, with Gardens getting the 3rd with 5 minutes to go.

The Reserve Referee was good, although Gardens should probably have had a penalty also thought the referee in the First Team game was good. However poor young Linesman was terrible, I understand giving them a chance to learn etc, but when your paying good money, should probably start in lower leagues

After the game felt like a home game, with more Knights in the Bar than Gardens -perhaps we are a bit too social given the score line. Hopefully the week break allows us to get a few more players back!

a's
pontian 1-6 san marco

b's
pontian 1-2 san marco

as stated earlier the ref was a joke in the reserves game!! our boys kept our cool in the shambles and the pontian boys didn't after a few decisions went against them. i thought having an official ref in div 2 for reserves was gonna be a good thing but in two games so far i'm pretty sure club referees do just as good a job if not better sometimes!! as stated i don't think our boy took a dive to win the penalty but yes the ref did overrule the linesman's call for the throw in

No official ref for the reserves at Easties on the weekend, but the club ref they provided was pretty good. Hard fought match between both sides with some heavy challenges, but all up was just a good hard match. Only one incident which brought a bit of push n shove but the ref handled that pretty well and level headed. Well done to Easties on getting the late winner.

Cant rely on one weekend to make a season!!!

Better effort next week required
San Marco are quality. Have seen almost all of the teams in division 2 throughout pre season and San Marco are by far the best! No other team has a chance!!

I tip San Marco to win the league with plenty of games to spare.

Whoever this is, we apprecciate the praise but it's a long season. Div 2 is a massive jump from Div 3, and this is shown just in the first 2 games. There is a lot of class players in div 2, a lot of them should be playing at a higher lever, but have chosen not to, making the league an even better comp!

if club lines men run their own forwards and the ref lets them scores could end up ten all. some are fair, most are not. a canny ref should make club linesmen run the other lots forwards if for no other reason than to stop the final result looking like a footy score.

Cheers for that Zola but as mentioned it is a long season and anything is possible. What club are you from by the way?
