Sat Div 7
Just wanted to know what everyones KO times are in Sat Div 7, as we at Munno Para are at 3pm due to ground availability and half our team coach juniors on Saturday mornings.
I am pretty sure that Angle Vale have the same problem as us.

Not all of us have A's and B's in Sat Div, i know us and Angle Vale have teams in Sunday leauge and Mount Compass is only a single team, i am pretty sure that 4 teams in this Div had 3pm KO last year. That was Munno Para, Angle Vale, Mount Compass and St Peters i think.

I know Div 6 last year was made up of all Saturday Div 1 clubs with all clubs fielding a minimum of 3 teams with all C team games being 11.30 KO.SFR wrote:Not all of us have A's and B's in Sat Div, i know us and Angle Vale have teams in Sunday leauge and Mount Compass is only a single team, i am pretty sure that 4 teams in this Div had 3pm KO last year. Div 7 the previous years were the same, not quite sure about last year in Div 7 though.

Mt Compass are 3pm ko. due to some lads coaching juniors early in the day and the ground is available to juniors before lunch time.
This is what is left of last years div 5.

Shame on rbe. If you Can't field a full c2 team on the first match of the season don't expect to have a second one all season
Re: Sat Div 7
Here we go again, how can you not field a team in the first round. Munno Para got caught out by this last year in div 5 & only ended up play every 2-3 weeks hopefully were not in for more of the same this season.

Just a heads up to all clubs in case u haven't already been notified by the league.
NPFC is not available to play any games with alternate KO times. Our boys play C's for a reason and one of them being the early KO time.
Sorry to all teams, We are just following the Saasl rules and regulations regarding KO times.
Please contact us if your team has a problem with ground availability's as our pitch is free all year round on Saturday mornings.

Well done to the Pitbull on this. Maybe then the league will wake up and realise this about C teams. Other clubs should follow this lead.

So does this mean Pitbulls will be forfeiting all away games that KO at 3pm.
This is why we played Sat Div 5 last year as the majority of teams KO at that time, but the SAASL knew our KO time and still decided to put us in this leauge along with a few other teams that KO at 3pm.

I guess that will be down to the league to sort it out. They list the league as C Team, as such 11:30am kick offs.SFR wrote:NorthernPitbullsF.C wrote:Just a heads up to all clubs in case u haven't already been notified by the league.

Yes, despite not all the teams being C'grade. However, Div 5 which was predominantley 3pm ko's last year is now full of C'grade teams, but is not listed as a C'grade league.
A paradox indeed.
Should clubs like Flinders and Iggies also have their C'grade kick off at 11.30 despite playing in A'grade competitions?
The simple fact of the matter is that the SAASL have not taken this into consideration. It is time that clubs were asked to nominate their intentions for the following season prior to the end of the current one. Yes, there would no doubt still be changes, but at least there would be sufficient time to spend on the administration of the leagues and competition to place teams in the correct leagues.
Given that we are the only 1 team club in the league, we should have been afforded the option of playing Div 4 with 1 team and no reserves, as it appears to be good enough for Div 2. Reserve teams have regularly forfeitied in the past effectively making many clubs 1 team clubs.

Re: Sat Div 7
I can't comment on the league your team was in last year all we know is this years League is a C's grade league. Meaning 11.30.
On our behalf we are following all the rules stated my the Saasl.
Our away games will not be forfeited nor will be lose points for trying to accommodate other teams.
Every team will be contact by our club as to what the Amature league has asked us to do. If both team don't agree on an alternate KO time then the normal 11.30 KO time stands. (According to the rules and regulations of the Saasl)

The rest you are correct on though, you have nominated your time for kick offs the same as the other clubs have. There's no winner in this one. Which is why I think Pitbulls stance is a good one as it should make the league actually take notice.

Would be interesting to see what happends if a team advise that they will refuse to play on a Friday night also......

Mt. Compass 3 - 1 Angle Vale
3 own goals in a scrappy midfield battle where there were few clear cut chances. Credit to the Vale who never gave the game up and fought to the end.

Munno Para 2 - Bosa 1. Very good hard game with Bosa having a lot of speed in their team, they will do well this season.
Thanks to the Bosa boys for sticking around for a feed and drinks after the game. Good luck for the rest of the year.

Munno Para win on forfeit against Red Blue Eagles. An absolute joke that a team is forfeiting in round 3. They forfeited against Bosa in round 1 at half time now in round 3. Why nominate a team if you can't field one in the first few rounds.
I could understand if you were a single team and it was round 13 or something and had injuries, but to have several teams in the league and forfeit in round 3 it's just not fair on the other teams in the division who want to play week in and week out.

The worst part is only finding out late on Friday which has effectively robbed anyone the opportunity to go away for the long weekend. Surely there would have been some indication that this was on the cards earlier in the week?SFR wrote:Munno Para win on forfeit against Red Blue Eagles. This also happened to us in this round last year (think it was One Tree Hill that forfeited) and it effectively means that we will have one game in four weeks again (there is only one more round before the cup round). This obviously has a huge impact on a team. Very frustrating.

Re: Sat Div 7
The club had 4 full teams, then by Thursday night they had lost a few that were carrying injuries and didn't make it, leaving them with 2 C teams that were slim. By Friday they lost a few more players who were playing at Stirling (work or laziness how do you tell) which meant the second C team lost a few more players leaving them under 11. Sure they could stack the C2 with A&B but it's Cs and not fair to MP. To be perfectly honest we have 15players out, from 4 sides, for legit reasons, and I'm sure bullsh11t reasons. I'm sure the club would like to play this game midweek to make the comp fair for every team, however that might be up to MP.
