Good result for Gully today, great day for football weatherwise, decent crowd, plenty of banter. Cheers to the Munno " super dry " Para supporters for getting behind our bar and enjoying the great food dished up before, during and after the game. Good luck for the season.

Tough games at Newton and some quality football on show also. Very handy results for the brahma. Credit where credit is due. San Marco kept coming despite being a man down for the vast majority. Have some great skills and ball work players up there and they will get points also. Top bunch of lads and looking forward to the reverse fixture.

Cs 4-0 Comfortable start for the Cs
Bs 2-3 Two up and matching the downs in a bruising encounter, the downs ran over the top of the Ressies in the 2nd half.
As 2-4 Four down at half time, the Downs were slick and dominant. While the Downs took their foot off the pedal in the 2nd half, we rallied well and showed plenty of endeavour to claw back two goals.

Good day at the Beach who as always were very hospitable hosts. The only blight was the reserves referee - just dreadful.

A's Fulham 2 vs Pontian 4... Fulham got good players on paper, but really didn't look interested at all...Pontian looked a lot hungrier and much more like a united team

Don't know about united team. They started yelling at each other over the slightest decision against them. Thought the officials took the chocolates though. Greagan and Kim well done took centre stage (poor decisions both ways I think both clubs would agree). Take nothing away from Pontians. Took their chances when presented and thus reigned victorious.

No & nor should they it will be dealt with by SAASL as it should be following the match report. There was also a SAARA assesor there as well.

No one wants a start to the season like that. Hope both clubs get it sorted early...

Ahhh the caped crusaider Downslobman no crime fighting needed here my friend but you are correct no one wants a start like this. Unfortunate that a minority of people want to spoil an enjoyable game for the rest of us & I am sure the club in question will deal with the minority accordingly. Banter is one thing but to invade the pitch not once but twice is unacceptable the ref had no other choice than to protect the players.

Although I don't condone it and wasn't at the game maybe they were just adopting the " if u can't beat em join em" approach. 2 sensible clubs sure they will sort it out.

I remember in 2011 an Ingle Farm Vs Pontians game was called off due to a Pontian so called Supporter and the club got a 3 point deduction penalty. Pontians lost the game 2-0 , Pontians losing at the time, so I wonder if the same penalty will apply
