Fark! Ivan gets sacked and then they withdraw their C team both a week before the season starting! :?

Re: PONTIANS WITHDRAW C TEAM FROM SUN DIV 6
Curious to see if clubs will re adjust their fees for the c grade players due to playing 2 less games
Re: PONTIANS WITHDRAW C TEAM FROM SUN DIV 6
Heard fulham are charging in excess of $250 for rego even for c grade where other clubs are no higher than $150
Re: PONTIANS WITHDRAW C TEAM FROM SUN DIV 6
I guess any player not happy with what a club charges is free to go to any other club if they choose.HBK wrote:Heard fulham are charging in excess of $250 for rego even for c grade where other clubs are no higher than $150

I'll nip out of this conversation. I think it might be a touchy one with Fulham drastically going down hill in the past year and half. I wonder what's happening in the committee? Deep pockets short arms? Stories are their volunteers leaving one by one.

In the past spooky for that price and previous clubs I have been to shorts, socks, jumper, polo and bag are pretty standard I have even paid $300 but it covered rego, insurance and all of the above you cant really complain with that. Hammer lots has changed since I have been down your neck of the woods the convo came up when I was chatting with 2 friends a different clubs one was at a club paying $140 and received polo, shorts and socks the other was paying $275 not to receive anything in return. Bit unfair especially for amateurs dont you think?

It's all hear say on my behalf. I wish I had the time to play on Sundays. But I probably wouldn't be going to a club charging 250+ for nothing back. Nothing against Fulham. I just like value for money

Club fees are club fees, players choose to pay them, as parents do junior fees (all clubs vary) However if fees are $100 or $300, and they are the same through all grades, then the package received should be the same also. I agree for $250 it is usually standard to get socks/shorts/jacket/polo or bag, sometimes the lot.
Re: PONTIANS WITHDRAW C TEAM FROM SUN DIV 6
I've played at Fulham for years and payed
fees every year some years getting something
sometimes not but one thing I got every season
was good friendships competitive games and great fun
So all u people who think they should get something ..
Go f@@ck off and play somewhere else people like you are
never happy and Fulham don't need you and I'm sure others
wouldn't want you either .

Adelaide's always been full of commies seeking some kind of socialist nirvana where every one pays the same no matter which club they play at.
They sentenced me to 20 years of boredom for trying to change the system from within.

Ah, kamikaze. You play for Fulham right? Is what HBk saying any way truthful? Are the fees expensive for what it is? Do the training bibs not get washed weekly for your fees of $250?
Do share with us mate. It's quite intriguing how other clubs may or May not operate

I don't think that's the case. I think people, like me, prefer to get something for what they pay for. It's the way society is now. Just look at all the tv commercials, there's usually money back or something little as a gesture. But to be paying $250 for 18 games of soccer which you may or May not even get chosen for seems a little unfair. Not even a pair of jocks?

Flinders players get their socks, shorts, use of a jersey, plus a polo shirt & their ticket to presentation night paid for. Not bad IMO.BlackHammer wrote:Over $250? Surely you receive something for those fees?

Kamikazee like hammer said, deep pockets short arms. Andy what you are getting for what your paying seems fair, I dont play for fulham, and probably never would and dont know the situation there like I said it was out of convo with 2 mates, thats a good way to make friends by telling ppl to f@@k off you f@@@ing twat. but I know times are tough for some ppl. Its good that most clubs offer payment plans but the fact that you get nothing to show that you were a part of the club to me is pretty poor.

Although this discussion is extremely entertaining how is it relevant to anything? It's like paying council rates. Some councils charge more than others, if people choose to live there and are happy then so be it.

Re: PONTIANS WITHDRAW C TEAM FROM SUN DIV 6
Whilst I agree with your comments se7en after talking to a good mate who plays at Fulham I was shocked to know that the full cost of fees is only paid by reserve & C's players with 1st team only paying $100 along with receiving match payments. Seems quite unfair given there is nothing given to these players not in a 1st team squad. Isolates small minorities of players who are entitled to voice their opinions on the forum & ask what other clubs are doing.Se7en wrote:Although this discussion is extremely entertaining how is it relevant to anything? I understand the 1st team of each club is always a priority given this is the team responsible for a clubs position in any division but I am sure other players outside the 1st team squad should be considered equal & I can't see why at least supplying a club polo or jumper as part of the fees isn't too much to ask so when players arrive at games they are all identified as a group representing their respective teams. This was certainly a priority in my days playing for a club in the FFSA.
Fulham is a great club & I know a lot of friends who have played with them over the years. I wish them all the best for 2014 & hope they are back in Div 1 next season.
Re: PONTIANS WITHDRAW C TEAM FROM SUN DIV 6
Point taken Texas and there will always be differences between club registration fees. What I don't get is the astronomical registration fees that juniors are charged. Some clubs are around the $900 mark. What do they get for their money?
Re: PONTIANS WITHDRAW C TEAM FROM SUN DIV 6
People happy to go out on a Saturday night and blow 200$ on a good night , yet whinge about paying 250$ for playing a whole season of soccer with three sessions per week , free barbies , great facilities etc. These people are usually the ones with more money than most by the way and are not club people .

shortsx2/socksx2/usually 2 playing tops (name maybe)/jacket/polo/bag/tracksuit/photos/presentation and hopefully a decent coaching, if not you can go cheaper and play somewhere else but always involves complete strips home and away and jackets polos etc.
Re: PONTIANS WITHDRAW C TEAM FROM SUN DIV 6
