I arrived juts before then of the C's but figured the away team had won when they sang their song.

The reserved had some abysmal refereeing. Mind you, the iggies' linesman in the second half was no better spending most of the time checking out his phone (probably googling offside). Modbury took the lead with pretty much the only shot they had on target in the first half and iggies should have had it wrapped up by half time, but missing some sitters they went in trailing 0-1. Overall they were the better side and the scoreline was about right.

In the A's Old Ignatians took the lead with two goals beating the offside trap (both good decisions) before Modbury pulled it back to 2-2 at half time. I couldn't stay around for the second half but sounds like Modbury turned it around.

Vipers v Uni

C 2:8

A 1:4

All games played in good spirits and a good start to the year for Uni.
"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. That's why I succeed." -Michael Jordan

didnt see that one coming, i remember playing for oth against them last year in pre season, we was 3-0 up with around 10 to go & conceeded 2 late goals, what a difference a year makes but all be it it was a friendly last year, looks like it'll be a long hard season for my old club, worked so hard to get up to div2 so quick!

Good bunch of lads.
But to much quality left. Will be a long year.
Tony is a good coach and will make them as competitive as possible.

Sat Div 2

A's
Flinders 3-3 Salisbury Villa

Wasnt at the game but from the limited info I got, it was 0-0 at half time. Villa went down 1-0 , equalised, had a man sent off then took the lead twice, but were pegged back twice.

B's
Flinders 3-0 Salisbury Villa

you sure you where watching the same reserves game ? modbury had a handful of chances in the first half and took a deserved 1-0 lead into half time , not to mention the blatent penalty that we should of have , hit the bar in the second half aswell , iggies where definitely the fitter of the two teams though , i missed iggies last two goals as i was getting changed for the A's .. but well done they got the points ,will take the points that matter

Held our own for 2/3rds of the game. Plenty of heart and ambition within the squad and youth throughout both As and Bs... A few more ins would help but you play the cards you have.

 Beside the goal (which was well taken) and a free kick that wasn't too far over the bar all the other good chances in the first half were at the other end and had Iggies have finished a little better probably would have led at half time. Modbury did hit the post in the second half and you yourself made a real hash of a good chance before you came off. Had you have finished that maybe it would have been a different result.

Don't sugar coat it. (Your captains favourite quote, from what I've been told)

Maybe the question needs to be asked... Why has OTH lost nearly the whole of last years first team????

Is there dickheads involved in the club???

Why did Neil Child's leave???

In house problems????
