How do you know it was Roma fans who instigated it all? What has ben said is that missles were thrown by both sides to begin with.

Perhaps they were between the United fans and the glass because a smaller group may have been easier to get away than a bigger group if it was called upon?

Look at some of the facts (of which we don't know a lot of yet) before you start saying Italian cowards etc etc. yes it was over the top, but we don't know why.
y would a person with no weapons for self defence go up 2 a cop with a gun and baton and hit the cop for no reason???

im not syin united \fans didnt fight back, ofcourse they did, wouldnt u if sum1 was throwin stuff at u... heres facts and reasons 2 believe roma fans instigated it...

only coz the eyetalian ultras are a bunch of knife/explosive merchants but i hope we do go through as you say :D from the reports it seems the romanista scum tried to get into the away section when they scored and police had to push and hit mancs to stop this and some mancs took offense to how they handled it...enough said. if you go to italy/spain you know you gotta be up for the business

Or the guy may have been going to close to the Roma section and the cop was forcefully moving him back.

3 of those articles can be said to be Roma's fault, but that Olympiakos one, no way - that was an act of revenge by Roma fans, who were attacked in Greece.

But look, we don't know yet, there are many scenarios that can be drawn up here, but to me it seems you are insinuating Utd fans are innocent in it all, but there have been reports from journalists at the ground which perhaps suggests otherwise...

The irriducibili are angels compared to Roma's ultras, even if Lazio's have a hardcore stance on things and are racists. But if you look at Roma's fans they are made up by part time criminals, gnasters and thugs. When the matches are finished, during the night on a weekday - you know a Roma fans is always up for a mugging, while the Lazio supporters are probably in a political meeting of some sorts.

lol.

I remember in the book "A Season With Verona" in the away game i think to Vicenza, there was a kid on the train yelling abuse at the Vicenza fans - threatening to get them, and throwin stuff at them. Then his phone rings, its his mum :D , he turns into the biggest mumma's boy, and was telling his mum -how he was safe, keeping out of trouble, that there was nothing bad happening and so on.

I can imagine the Lazio fans at home, being good little catholic boys, eating their pasta at home.

mmm im definately a mummys boy :D stilldoesnt mean i wont knife ya in the back... espeically manUSA4life

I think aussie_ascoli your a bit easy ont he Lazio ultras, you know the four leaders fo the IRR are in jail for various charges relating to tax evasion, assaults and various other things i dont know the legal terms for... Paolo their main leader and the one in the documentry on them is in jail for 8 years for almost killing someone if my memory serves me correct.

Of course the main core of the ultras is bad, but majority of the curva are not 100% loyal to the ultras, but sing and buy the merchandise. The Roma fans as whole are far worse, even the guys sitting in the tribuna are bad. The worse of the worse is not limited to the ultras in Roma's case.

Just funny that the last two times there has been trouble in CL games, Man U have been involved.

That book "A season with Verona" by Tim Parks is the best football book you will read.

It still wouldnt have stopped him. Totti is a star and will be the difference at Old Traff.

Roma will win the CL this year.

Totti's a fag... watch him make a fool himself by getting shut down by one of the most over-rated defenders in the world, Rio. Mark my words Roma will lose at Old Trafford 3 nil... 3 nil... such a beautiful scoreline...

Roma will progress to the next round. They have a strong squad but Manchester have the home match so they have an advantage so it can go either way.
