I know most the games are on the weekend but we had ours tonight for the forst team.

Angle Vale 2-2 Northern Pitbulls
AV won 5-4 on penalties.

Cracking game. AV should have buried the game a few times but just couldnt find the finish.
No disrespect to Pitbulls tho. They played good football and are well organised. Good bunch of supporters as well that came out in numbers. Good luck for the season!

Congratulations to the Cobra's on progressing. I'm sure they will hold their own in Division 3. Was a great game, both sides played with a lot of fire and passion and took the game very seriously which is always a bonus. It's a shame to go down on penalties but that's cup football I guess, the loss hurt the lads but that will only spur them on come round 1.

We were 2-0 down at half time, but rallied in the heat to net 6 in the last 30 mins.

An all round unusual day. A neutral venue due to ground booking issues. Both teams started with 10 due to players dropping out. Neither team had a goalkeeper rock up so outfield players played in goal. An injury to an Athelstone player early in the second half saw the rest of the game played 9 v 10.

Congrats to Unley but the lack of players on such a hot day robbed the game of being a real contest. Look forward to playing them 11 v 11 during the season.
