SAASL vs Collegiate trials
I know MA Hawks & Grads Reds played a couple of weeks ago.
Any other trials between the 2 different associations this year?

Re: SAASL vs Collegiate trials
Collegiate League is merely an affiliate of the FFSA. What's the big deal?
Why would someone from West Adelaide even want to raise the issue?
Obviously not satisfied with making the SA forum all about 'them', they now feel it their right to take over the Amateur forum.

What about clubs who have teams in both competitions (ie. Prince Alfred College)... can players represent both?

no, ask st peters. Kicked out of collegiate league in 2004 for exactly that.Rampant Antagonísm wrote:What about clubs who have teams in both competitions (ie. Prince Alfred College)... can players represent both?
Also, I don't think the 2 PA clubs are the same.

I knew there was one, but couldn't remember who it was. I think Adelaide Uni have teams in both as well.God is an Englishman wrote:no, ask st peters. again, happy to stand corrected but I think uni run them as separate clubs.

How has this been made about West Adelaide???? just because the poster is named West Adelaide doesn't mean he has tried to start a WA based thread .. where has he mentioned WA in the post??!!!
There are plenty of West Adelaide people on here also associated with other SAASL and possibly collegiate clubs ..
Talk about an insecurity complex ..!

Re: SAASL vs Collegiate trials
Mixed bag at the weekend.....
With 5 games on and 15+ at the Showdown it was a stretch but:
E's v Torrens B's lost 4-0
D's v Wanderers C's won 2-1
C's v Torrens A's lost 8-0 (Our C's were hardest hit BUT Torrens A's are not the same team as last year by a mile!)
B's v Wanderers B's won 5-4 ( I think)
A's v Wanderers A's lost 5-1
Thanks to Adelaide Wanderers and TV for coming up to Barker and giving us our hardest pre season weekend!
The Wanderers were class in the A's and Torrens Valley A's will walk the Div 4 league this year injuries permitting and will breeze through Div 3 also if they keep that side together.. you heard it here ;)
Good luck to all

Pitbulls and Wolves will both be very handy in Div 4 this season.

Re: SAASL vs Collegiate trials
Yep..... Credit where its due......
Torrens Valley A's looked exceptionally good....
Very quick up top but strong throughout the team....
We had a badly depleted C team out against them but they destroyed them and it could have been more.....
I will be as bold as to predict them winning Div 4 with a week or 2 to go.....
No disrespect meant to the others but we played Strath A's, Mc Vale A's and Southern Breakers A's and these guys are a step above with their new additions...
Time will tell and good luck to all
