Sunday div2
Not much talk about Sunday div2
Looks to be another very tough year with teams recruiting well in the offseason
For me I think brahma and grove would be favourites to go up
They've both got strong squads and recruited well. Moggy & mark know what it takes to get out of this league.
We have got a solid squad, but had a real reality check on the weekend.
Not heard much from many teams at all. Any news or predictions?
Duckpond is very quiet.... Which is nice.....

Re: Sunday div2
I have seen no preseason games, so obviously my predictions will be as good as if I had seen them all...
Grove and Gully seem to be the ones to watch with any one of the other 8 teams giving them a good run for their money. Looking forward to a cracking season in Divvy 2

Re: Sunday div2
The only thing I see working against gully is their youth (and Benny R ). Grove, Fulham, Pontian & brahma all have a fair bit of experience in div2 which counts for a lot over the entire season. Knights & vista are a testament to that experience is crucial to gain promotion.
Good to hear San Marco are going to be around & in the bar. Will you guys be playing on the main pitch of campbelltown again? In Damian barker still playing out there??

Grove too inconsistent. Gully, EASTIES (Pending Alby's tactics from Football Manager) and da Lodge looking the goods

I think we should be in the top half of the table, but I feel as though almost all teams will take points off each other.

Re: Sunday div2
why are the Pontians so far down in people's estimations ?
normally you could argue that they weren't from far enough North but not thesedays,
Shouldn't that alone put them up a few rungs on the ladder

Many had predicted Beograd storming Division 2 last year and Southern Knights to be relegated.
Sometimes it's about getting off to a good start and maintaining the confidence.

Yeah San Marco will be playing top pitch unless weather forbids. Haha nah Barca hasn't been at the club for a few years, he's to fat and slow to make the teams

Agreed, with the way results go in this division, the prediction above could quite easily be the opposite way aroundEast Boy wrote:Did you watch us on Saturday?redfred wrote:Grove -

True, anyone from top 6 prediction

Re: Sunday div2
As always it'll be tight, but I think tougher and tighter than any of the previous 3-4 seasons. Fulham look strong I think, and the Beagles might go down but that's just a guess. Its all up for grabs for whoever can find the consistency and not loose players when the world cup comes around.
Re: Sunday div2
Div 2 is always tight. Can always throw a blanket over the top 5 or 6. Good luck to all. Can't wait for it to kick off
Re: Sunday div2
Should be a very hard fought season in div 2. Should be some cracking games. My predictions are gully for the title looks like they have had about 6 new quality signings I saw last week. followed by grove who also have had afew handy signings and then brahma but I'm thinking it will be a very tight league.
Re: Sunday div2
Gully seem to be a real contender from everyone on here. Not sure if it's there newbies talking themselves up though??
Are they still a really young side?
Fulham & pontian would be loving the fact no one is talking them up, but in reality they will be two very tough sides having just been demoted. Fulham have been strong in div1 & 2 for many years.

Re: Sunday div2
That's because Gully are the only results most have seen on here maybe, well the only ones ive seen anyone plus most of the talk is from gully. I can say Maso lost to the Downs last Friday night in the A's, in the reserves Maso won.East Boy wrote:Gully seem to be a real contender from everyone on here. Re: Sunday div2
Looking forward to this season finally getting underway, hopefully a cracking game between Gully and Munno Para, to get the season off to a good start off the park, Tea Tree Gully have lamb rolls off the spit, full canteen, coffee and a stocked bar ready for the travelling para supporters. Go you Gully.
Life moves pretty fast, if you dont stop and look around once in a while, you just might miss it !

Blue eagles 1 -7 para hills east
Blue eagles 0-4 para hills east (b's)
Para hills dominated in the a's along with costly mistakes by us
In the b's was a tighter affair until the last 10 mins where para bagged another 2

That first thirty minutes by Easties first team was amongst the best you'll see all season.Juvefan 08 wrote:Blue eagles 1 -7 para hills east

As for the reserves, there was only ever one team out there, if played on the main pitch it would have been double figures.
Re: Sunday div2
Gully Bs up 2-1 against para in a closely contested game
And the As up 2-0 with a comfortable victory
