Exactly.

Cook might be a great Test player, but he's definitely a reserve for their ODI squad.

as are most of them playing. The squad for the west indies is apparently even worse - but I haven't seen that yet

The front on view was what nailed it. OUT!

Seen it, NOT OUT. Can you provide this conclusive picture you have mentioned.

I think you're probably making the same mistake that the Channel 9 commentary team have made.

Bail was dislodged, his foot was in the air, thats all I care about. Dont remember what commentary team was saying.

Was the bail dislodged or removed from the stump completely. Remember both ends must be away from the stumps to be out - it wasn't, only one side was.

Thats where you're mistaken. It was off both (before foot came down). OUT!

Agree to disagree then. Like I said, at first I thought same (not out) but after that particular front on angle was shown a few times, it was there, and obviously the third ump saw the same.

I think the bail was up at one end but not completely removed. I think if the situation was reversed then you'd be claiming he was not out.

On a side note, why don't umpires just make decisions any more. Every run out goes to the tv. 2 in England innings went to the TV and they were obvious to me on a dodgy angle and 50m away. Yet a bloke in line 10m away can't decide.

This part very true. The umps have got lazy since tv technology and find it easier to let the third guy make the call. Silly thing is the more they do it, the more they may one day just say we dont need them (the two in the middle) any more, thus losing their jobs!

Just have a hat stand with a camera in it, instead of umpires. Decision put up on the big screen for wides etc..

My manners probably do need some work. As Mike Atherton said, when in Rome...

Nice knock by Rohit yesterday, shattering the ODI international record with 264 runs off 173 balls only to get out on last ball of innings.

I'm here. Whats the problem? We'll beat you again next time too. So any idea who will win the toss for your captaincy? Seems like a lottery for Aussies these days.
