+1

Hagi and Stoichkov.

say no more.
Pfft Roberto Baggio was easily the best player in that tournament.
I certainy enjoyed the penalty miss.
I'm sorry do you have a point or is this just another attempt to take to thread off topic?

Italy wouldn't have even got that far without Baggio. You can't score them all.

Amazing how people go on about that penalty miss.

Baresi missed, Massaro missed, I bet Trezeguet doesnt co that much even though he missed the ONLY penalty in the 2006 WC final.

You're both missing Paul Gascoigne - the rest just tried to play in his shadow.

Can you tell me which country Paul Gascoigne was playing for in the 1994 World Cup?

Not in the 1994 World Cup he didn't. You even let Norway pip you for qualification in that tournament.

OK this needs to end swiftly.

Gascoigne did play in the 1994 World Cup, for England, however his nation didn't qualify for the Finals held in US in 1994.

So he did play then. Thanks for clearing that up for all concerned.

Me and a mate were in the W Indies at the time, we left the place that was showing the game at half time and only came back for the penalties.

Don't lie. You have no mates. You mean a drinking partner.

There is enough time to have a re-vote....it has to happen otherwise it will be a disaster of a world cup. There will be teams like Faroe Islands, Fiji, Kenya etc etc playing in it when everyone else boycotts

I don't follow the Swedish league and they aren't relevant to the World Cup anyways. It's stupid how the majority of leagues have to rearrange their competitions. Also interferes with the cup competitions too.

Why aren't the Swedes relevant to the World Cup? Like I said if you want to make something global and take it around the world you'll have to accept different countries have different climates and play different parts of the year and adapt. Having a break in the middle of a season is nothing new.

I still don't beleive qatar should have been awarded the tournament but the same problem would have arisen had it been awarded to a more deserving nation like Saudi Arabia, the UAE or Kuwait.

Simple fact is that the proposal included air conditioned stadiums. They have not fulfilled that commitment. Imagine that Australia promised a load of bribes and didn't deliver on them, I'm sure they'd have the world cup removed from them.

Doesn't take away from the fact that in the future some nation may not propose that yet have a similar climate.

and that should be judged on it's merits. They have failed to deliver on their proposal that was deemed as the best bid.

Maybe the cons should promise to build 20 brand new football stadiums and then once they get it just say "no, I don't think we'll bother anymore".

You know you're clutching at straws when you count qualifying games as "playing in the World Cup".

I do love Gascoigne though.

Sigh the comment was USA 1994 not World Cup qualifiers you know you are wrong everyone who reads this knows you are wrong but you will argue black and blue trying to highlight some technicality that somehow the 1994 qualifiers equate to the World Cup in 1994 that were held in the USA and England didn't qualify for. A bit like saying the best player in last years FA cup was someone who was knocked out in the second round

Good luck with the reply and continued trolling
