He was signed after Torres had left though hadn't he?
Suarez is the first major signing for Liverpool owners New England Sports Ventures (NESV) since it bought the club in October 2010.

But the news comes as Liverpool are on the brink of losing star striker Fernando Torres to Chelsea, who are working to seal a deal for the Spaniard before the January transfer window closes at 2300 GMT on Monday.

fair play, I always thought that we bought him with the proceeds of the Torres sale because of how late in the window he came.

He can certainly be a future player for us if he keeps this up. Lucas is also a boss. Good to see players up when gerrard is out.
A very technically gifted player who works hard, not too far from the "Gerrard" mould. Initially I thought the 20 million you spent on him was a bit much, but in time he has developed as a player and now shows the signs he did when he first kitted up for Sunderland.

Possibly a good pairing with Cleverley for England after the stalwarts give it up..........

Put him in an average side (like England, sadly), and he's rubbish. OK when he gets space, but not international standard really.

Bit harsh... not the finished article but he is far from rubbish. Definitely better than any other English central midfielder his age, bar Wilshere.

Dont know why i bothered to get up and watch Arsenal this morning. Flat performance and we only decided to really play in the last ten.....fair enough Chelsea parked the bus, but if we want to be considered title contenders we have to show more energy and urgency. Give Podolski a start next game and rest Oziland Giroud, they are looking tired.

Four games without a win now for Arsenal, not sure where to go with this but seeing as Liverpool got some slack for only winning a game 3-1 surely this is worth some banter.... 8)

David's ship seems to have a problem with the Hull

Got very lucky.

United's defence is only marginally better than Spurs'. :(

Yep, well put. I thought it was a technical affair, no real blazing glory about it.

As for the ozil comment, it was made by a lad who also says lamela is struggling cos he can't speak English.........dembele seems to be quite fine about that though

umm I never said Ozil was carrying you guys, I said his performances in tough games are still questionable (i.e. man city). Dembele has played in England since 2010 I'm sure he has picked up the language a lot more than Lamela in 5 months...

Dembele does not speak a word of English! Fact.....
As for ozil stepping up in big games, only in the man city game he was clearly beaten, seems to be right up there in assists etc, which has been his trademark, hence why he was bought, def not for his goalscoring capabilities.

How about dishing out a 10 game ban for that dirty cunt Charlie Adam? There's not many players I'd like to see have their legs snapped, but he's one of them. The sooner someone puts him out of the game, the better.

Have to laugh at Moyes complaining about his ref Howard. After all the times Spurs, and others, have been stiffed at OT, that's priceless.

P.S. I think Young had already long lost the ball anyway, so Webby was about right. Should have booked Welbeck for a blatant dive as well.

And maybe if Young didn't dive every week and earn a bad reputation, it may have been given. Suarez used to not get frees for the same reason and has since cleaned up his act. In the eyes of the ref, Young probably appeared to dive even though he didn't

Theo out for 4 weeks :(
Bendtner the same, Verminator & Arteta still awaiting test results, Ramsey & Gibbs still a couple of weeks away. Giroud could be back for this weeks game.. time to step into the market Mr Wenger. We cant let our EPL title ambitions fall to the way side with our lack of action in the market..

The last three months of the season are when squads are always stretched. It's the reason Spurs let the Irons and the Woolwich go through in the Cups

A masterstroke by Tim

Is already the second most booked player for diving ever in the history of the EPL. Any guess who is the first?

It'll be poor, misunderstood Gareth I think.

That's a big call. Do you know him personally, surely he can call "pass" and "man on" in English? Or is it his way of getting out of buying the drinks cause he can't even say "11 pints please" in English?
