The Beach would like to announce Johnny Manca as Senior Coach for Season 2014.
Johnny has been a vibrant member of the Beach fraternity in a number of roles; as supporter, player and coach, securing West Beach promotion to the Sunday Premier League in Season 2009.
The Beach would also like to take this opportunity to thank Chris Groom for his outstanding service to the club over the last two seasons. Chris' dedication to every facet of the job was recognised and appreciated by all involved.
Coach Groom exits the Beach with a hefty honour roll, guiding the Beach to the 2nd Division title in 2012 and maintaining top flight action in 2013. Chris took on not only the 1st team but played a significant role in the success of the B's, C's, and inaugural C2's. He also collected a Division 6 and 7 League Champions medal as a player of the C team.
Thank you Chris and welcome back Johnny!

Seems a bit strange you are replacing a coach that:
1) Won you the league in Division 2
2) Kept you in the Premier League
Someone have it in for Groomy down there or what ??

Rich Walker, recently arrived from Hull, is at the helm of the Beach for 2014.
Colin Antonoff is coaching the Reserves, while John Foster-Borg retains leadership of the C's.
