I highly doubt that. Have you seen every game? Are you like most convicts, talk it up but never even go.predator wrote:Never as badly as the poms in this seriesGod is an Englishman wrote:

how many days of cricket did you watch this year?adelaidebloke wrote:4 nill....end off, go home and enjoy ya floods!!!!
Floods, big deal. When bush fire season, when's flood season again? Somehow think you have that a lot worse. How many deaths in the floods in England? How many died in bush fires and floods in Australia last year?
You really should think before you type.

That's not hard, I've never been a pom - I'm English and I don't believe you that you have seen every game.

Re: The ashes in Australia 2013-14
I have not sunk the boot into England much because I respect what they have done in the past few years, but wow, they are actually horrible now. What an absolute mess. When you have a captain setting ridiculous fields, bowling Root before Monty (hoping the ball would reverse later! WTF!) and then grassing a chance at first slip, you have to wonder, is it time for a bit of a change of leadership. His batting is not fantastic either.
I cannot believe I am typing this, I actually almost felt sorry for them yesterday.
As for the Barmy Army, who cares. Sing all you want, all you can ever hear on the TV is just the same moronic thing over and over. That is not the Aussie style support, this country's supporters doesn't really sing at any events. Not our thing. We just turn up in massive numbers and watch England get dismantled.

One thing I do agree with the barmy army - its when they sing "we are mental and we are mad". The bigger the impending loss, the louder they roar. Must like losing so much it rubs off on the team.Gary Gerald wrote:I have not sunk the boot into England much because I respect what they have done in the past few years, but wow, they are actually horrible now. Re: The ashes in Australia 2013-14
you turn up in massive numbers when you're winning, you hardly turn up at all when you're shit. England fans turn up every day, win, lose or draw.
If Cook's is so terrible, how comes he is the youngest player to score 8,000 runs? I believe he has more runs than your captain as well, so I guess he's not very good either.
Leadership has been poor in this series, I think after winning so easily recently we started to believe it was going to be easy.
The cons have lifted for this series but I think they'll get seriously found out in sa as the top order has been found out in every first innings and sa won't take their foot off their throats.
As for England - captain and coach's jobs are in jeopardy.

I predicted a narrow win. I was wrong, I should have said we would bolt in.God is an Englishman wrote: anyone who thought England were going to lose this series, knows nothing about cricket.
But seriously, that is a very narrow minded post. You could see the Aussies weren't as bad as the 0-3 scoreline over there and when Beefy came about muttering on about a 5-0 win over here, one just has to laugh it off. Yes he knows plenty about cricket, but so does Shane Warne, who said we would win. Nuff said.

I said we'd win 2-1, I could only see you getting a win in perth. The 3-0 was close but remember but for weather it would have been 4-0.
If drug cheat said you'd win then he was playing the patriotic card or he was just following his commentary style of just copying what the bloke next to him has just said. Beefy has said he was taking the piss when he said 5-0, he was taking the piss out of McGrath. And yes, he said he was taking the piss before the series started.

sorry, no answer he's probably on the golf course.
So facts are these, 3-0 in England was close but for the weather could have been 4-0.

Re: The ashes in Australia 2013-14
Most of the sound I heard from the the English supporters was just proclaiming about themselves ie "We are the Army...the Barmy Barmy Army." they seem to be heavily into their own self importance (as supporter groups tend to be).
I guess too, many see coming to Australia for an Ashes tour as a big summer holiday, a chance to get away from the chill and gloom in the UK...and they are permanently in party mode...
They create a bit of the football atmosphere and are good for the game....does sound good when they sing Jerusalem.

How can "could have been" be labelled "a fact" to begin with? Until you can grasp this, then you may want to revisit this 4-0 rubbish.God is an Englishman wrote:Bomber wrote:Ask Vaughan, he knows more than me. But the clue would be in the fact his answer would be same as mine.
