Not badadmin wrote:Group B is a shocker for the Socceroos. Group G (Germany, Portugal, USA & Ghana) and Group D (Italy, England & Uruguay) are also very tough groups.
Group A is tougher than the rankings suggest - Brasil being ranked 10 for a home world cup and Mexico ranked 20 for a cup in South America understates the difficulty of that group.
Group C is much easier than the rankings suggest. Columbia ranked 4 (compared to Brasil at 10) and Greece ranked 12 (compared to France ranked 19) skew the figures.
Group F, H and C are the easy groups.
Total of FIFA Rankings of the top 3 teams in each group:
Group A: 46
Group B (Australia): 25
Group C: 33
Group D: 26
Group E: 50
Group F: 60
Group G: 21
Group H: 59
The rankings are only an indicator.
