World Cup Draw

Post by LBJ23 »

Is the draw being televised? If so what time and on what station?

Australia could possibly get Italy, Brazil and Holland in there group that would make for some entertainment

Just forfeit - save the airfares and accommodation costs and put the money into junior development :P

Can't wait, just got my accommodation, only thing I need now are tickets! Not a great draw but for those fortunate enough to have gone before, the party that is the World Cup will be even more amazing than before

Group B is a shocker for the Socceroos. Group G (Germany, Portugal, USA & Ghana) and Group D (Italy, England & Uruguay) are also very tough groups.

Group A is tougher than the rankings suggest - Brasil being ranked 10 for a home world cup and Mexico ranked 20 for a cup in South America understates the difficulty of that group.

Group C is much easier than the rankings suggest. Columbia ranked 4 (compared to Brasil at 10) and Greece ranked 12 (compared to France ranked 19) skew the figures.

Group F, H and C are the easy groups.

Total of FIFA Rankings of the top 3 teams in each group:

Group A: 46
Group B (Australia): 25
Group C: 33
Group D: 26
Group E: 50
Group F: 60
Group G: 21
Group H: 59

The rankings are only an indicator.

Well we will go there have a nice stay in the Brazilian resort town, get well beaten by Spain and Netherlands, have a good shot at upsetting Chile, collect the US$8 million, and come home. :)
