Spurs 9 goals in 11 games
Man City's away record
Cech is the best keeper in the worldz
Arsenal are gonna win the league
I think that covers it, great weekend.

Re: EPL 2013/2014
Haven't seen the late games in full yet but, despite the result, I was actually pretty happy with the Spurs game. We probably created more scoring chances in 90 minutes than we have in the rest of our games combined and were just unlucky to come up against a keeper that played the game of his life.El Capitano wrote:Spurs 9 goals in 11 games

Still not convinced on AVB tactically. Why try to play a high line when we had Slo-Mo Dawson in defence and Grandad Friedel in our goal, with his lead boots on?

Few clubs outside the top half can even resemble a skilful, possession based game.Arturo Ui wrote:More crap English long ball football from Fulham last night.

No. Not yet but I fail to see how that is relevant to my comment.El Capitano wrote:Has your shitty league got its champions league spot back?getborn wrote:Few clubs outside the top half can even resemble a skilful, possession based game.Arturo Ui wrote:More crap English long ball football from Fulham last night.

Top dozen in the EPL play well but the depth runs much deeper in my shitty league.
The bottom half of the EPL are shite.

Re: EPL 2013/2014
I'd reckon the bottom half in the EPL would largely beat their equivalents in Italy and probably most other leagues because of their willingness to show a bit of ticker and willingness to fight for a result. Let's face it - bottle and courage are not necessarily qualities you would attribute to Italy.

That being the case would that mean by derivation that Italian teams are lazy and weak?

I think I would rather take the courage that would get a result than a team with quality that couldn't get the guts to show it.

silly assumption considering the EPL is no longer English....subsequently, these qualities you refer to are common to other nationalities as well then...

I strayed to give you some examples where quality has won over courage which was a point you tried to argue.
My bad.
You take the courage, Ill take the quality.

Re: EPL 2013/2014
There was a pre-game interview about illness that had swept the Arsenal playing group after their trip to Germany and that Per Mertesacker & Tomas Rosicky were sent home because they were so ill.El Capitano wrote:

1.98 metres (6-foot, 5-inch) Mertesacker would have dealt with van Purseman at that corner and he wouldn't have scored. A flat Arsenal performance, yes. But one that deserved a draw had a chance 2 metres out in the last minute not been missed.

Arsenal didn't deserve shit, they came looking for a draw and got their just deserts.Con M wrote:There was a pre-game interview about illness that had swept the Arsenal playing group after their trip to Germany and that Per Mertesacker & Tomas Rosicky were sent home because they were so ill.El Capitano wrote:
