Not sure that the team list for Sunday represents the finial squad list- for instance Jess Waterhouse isn't on there, and also there are only 19 listed- would think that final list will be 20. Does give us a bit of an idea though. For a couple of girls this Sunday could be a very important opportunity.

Well it does appear there has been a massive turnover of players, maybe for the best. I feel that Ross is going to pick players that have the right attitude which I feel has been a problem in the past

I think you will find that this is the final squad. 19 + Waterhouse = 20.

Its only 'pre-season', but today's game would have hit confidence and morale.

When teams get flogged that heavy it invariably means they barely left their own defensive half.

Defense is of great concern, made up of makeshift defenders.

Still I have great faith in RA but I fear he has been handed a poison chalice.

I didn't think anything really went wrong - the lads NTC team were massively superior in skill, technique, speed, strength & structure.
Great hit out for the Lady Reds, MB got a good work out in goals.
Large coaching bench will be required for the Lady Reds on game day...Pezos, Porter, Jenkins, Tate & Hargreaves. And that was without Aloisi being there!

They need to know where they are at and where as ayers they need to improve to even compete with 15 year old boys, mind you they are supposed to be the best in the state so it was not probably a good start up game

+1
The boys were just so far ahead it wasn't funny. The girls tried hard but the boys were able to read their play far too easily and were rarely put under any real pressure.
Keeping the ball is one thing, but you won't win games if you don't score and it looks like AU are still going to be missing that link up play between the midfield and forwards.

Pardon my ignorance, what age is NTC please ? Just curious, to give you an idea what age / skill level the women's team should aim for, when the Matildas were getting ready for the 1995 World Cup, they played a state NSW U/14 boys side , boys side won 5-0.
Just to use that as an example, I think the W league side were punching well above their weight against a NTC side ( depending what age they are ? )
Maybe W League team should play them again at end of the W league season ?

We've been through this before.

Is it the white pills or the orange ones you keep forgetting to take?

With some help from the officials who wouldn't allow tackling

Waste of time for the boys, unless they got a couple of phone numbers.

NTC is under 15s, I'm really worried about the selections again. Kristy and Bubs are definitely up to scratch but I am not sold on the rest - though I am also showing a massive amount of bias there.
