We all know that United fans / board are not expecting Moyes to be at the same level as Fergie to begin with, however he is a big boy and has taken over the English champions, so no real excuses.
What do you think it would take for him to get sacked?
Not making Champions league? Not winning a trophy? Perhaps being outside the top four come xmas?
I would be interested to know how lenient the board intend to be with him and how patient they are prepared to be if these situations arise........
In saying all of this, United could go on and take out 2 or 3 trophies, but cant see it.
As Moyes was anointed by Fergie to be his successor he will be given at least two years to show what he can do.
Fergie chose him because of his tough no nonsense approach and his ability to get the best of players - it wil just take the players a bit of time to get used to the change - I still tip them to finish in the Top four.

incorrect.
do u honestly think SAF would of asked the yanks to sign Moyes on a 4yr deal, if he expected major silverware in year 1?
I think not!
but please, continue with your faecetious tripe!
Enjoy being top of the EPL table, its been a very long time!
as for many Man Utd fans, the real hardcore ones, not the plastic ones; we know that it will take 1-2 years to get the team where Moyes wants it to be.
its amazing the amount of disgruntled "plastic" fans wanting Moyes sacked

In Moyes we trust!
Thank god you wrote this,
I'll paste it in every time you're critical of Moyes.
I think its hilarious how certain Man U fans are giving it the old "He will be given / needs a few seasons blah blah blah" Reality is, he is managing the current English champions and if he needs a few seasons to do something, hes simply not cut out for it.
I thought last year that they won with an inferior (but deep) squad, so SAF got out at the right time IMO. Not sure how settled Rooney is either.
This year, I think I'll wait until RvP is back playing before writing them off.
