14A's Cumberland 4 ABE 0

Half time it was 3/0, ABE improved in second half after early goal by Cumberland.

ABE had one goal saved by outstreached goalie by parrying the ball from far post - excellent save.

someone get a hat-trick here ?

Is this a side of U16's only or do they have U14's & U15's playing as well.
Would be great to see this league get stronger and stronger after so many gave it the verbal bashing early in the off season

Well that is good news then, we read so much negativity last season on the U16's and it is clear that clubs are seeing the value of the age group to cater for players that develop at different rates.

hummm I think your right it could be a long season for U/13 Raiders

I don't think they have made to many changes since last season i know there not used to loosing should be interesting to see how they bounce back after to big losses.

Afew tough games ahead :?

Last year they killed most sides so maybe there is a big difference between A & B only time will tell
From what I heard, it will be a long season for all clubs in the U13A's but for foxes, jets, AC and knights. Taking nothing away from cumberland, raiders didn't have their regular GK, but cumberland would have still won easily - very good team! raiders at full strength next week v modbury should show the real gap between the top 3 or 4 and the others. Good character building for all the lads
I think raiders have a lot more to offer though, we'll see.

I'm surprised you have the knights up there as they finished behind the Raiders in B grade last year.

At this time Adelaide City, Modbury and Cumberland seem to be the teams to beat.

Thought Cumberland might not be as strong as they lost one of their best players to Adelaide City Under 14's but they seem to be looking the goods still!
