Careful, you'll get kicked out of your club if you get caught saying decent things about me.

Italian clubs don't kick Italians out, there's too much politics involved because everyone's related.
Simple.
Stop complaining on here and instead give us your proposed new rule for next season and then put it to the vote at the AGM.
I'm waiting ..... but I won't hold my breath.

This is not just about the cougars, its any team that may be effected by this. This is a converstation that has been going on with the league for 2 weeks before the Mod v Cougars match.

What have the league said to you about it in these conversations?
Bearing in mind stirling have 2 catch up games to play and as I have said before, what should the league have done about it to ensure that it was fair to ALL teams?

They advised that they have been aware of this situation and would notify and have discussion with the clubs involved to re organise the matches. So seeings as the conversations went on more than two weeks ago, id like to know what they said to each club........Oh hang on.....they didnt contact the clubs.....

So, what do you propose they should have done to ensure fairness to all clubs?

Cup round the game should have gone ahead. it is unfair from a competition point of view that a club function was more important. however, giving Mod jets the benfit of the doubt a Mid week or Friday night match should have been discussed and organised either at a home, away or neutral venue.

neutral venue/midweek/friday night would have been unfair to stirling, our ground was unavailable. Stirling still have another catch up game, what would happen with that one?
As for club function being more important, first in best dressed as you aussies would say.

and there's my point. People complaining about the league but not having any idea how to fix it.
The last round of the season should be EVERYONES last game for the year GIAE. People are voicing their opinions/complaining because it effects their club that Modbury and Stirling still are in contention for Promotion but can see other peoples results before they have played. It is a Joke but I can't see it being fixed anytime soon as it happens every year.
People have made good points playing it on a cup round if both clubs are out of cup, my favourite would be a night game at HQ if the home grounds pitch is out of order. This is totally up to SAASL.
It's a cop out to put it all back on the league. We ARE the league.
If you want the rules change make a detailed proposal!
If your proposal is: "Play it midweek at HQ." then I'd vote against it.
For example, what if the club has sufficient lighting to play it midweek at their home ground?

Completely agree, plus (as I have stated many times) why should the home team miss out on home advantage?
In this case stirling would not only lose their home advantage but have an hours travel (for a home game) as well. Sounds completely fair.
