Mid-week Twilight Soccer League

The the 3rd season of the First XI Twilight Soccer League (TSL) commences at B27 this evening.

The league consists of schools representing Northern, Eastern, Western and Central communities of Adelaide through Blackfriars Priory School, Christian Brothers College, Gleeson College, Immanuel College, Norwood Morialta High School, Prince Alfred College and Saint Michael's College.

Three games KO @ 4.15pm this evening and every Wednesday after.

This evening's games

Blackfriars vs CBC
St Michaels vs Gleeson
Norwood vs Immanuel
PAC BYE

West Adelaide Junior Soccer Club will again host the TSL (and the canteen will be open) for all 14 rounds and Grand Final. The TSL is very pleased to announce the continued approval of FFSA who will also provide referees for all TSL games.

How did the boys play yesterday?

I wasn't going to brag, but 3-0 down at half time to Lloyd Owusu's Immanuel, they bounced back to win 8-3 :shock:

Good to see some top level coaches looking after the twilight league.
Probably enjoy coaching the kids more than the pros !!

I think these guys have wider roles looking after the schools' overall football programs.

At Blacks it is an optional curriculum subject for Years 7-10.

It is fantastic, covers everything from theory to practical and Referee licence. The State squad administration should take a look at this.

AUG 22 Announcement: 2013 TSL Acknowledgements

As the 2013 First XI TSL regular season concludes, we would like to thank the schools - Coordinators, Coaches, Players - for their continued commitment and support. The TSL would also like to acknowledge the FFSA Referees, whose commitment each week has provided a playing environment that promotes quality soccer, with Dave the Head Trainer ensuring the welfare of our players. The TSL extends this appreciation to West Adelaide Junior Soccer Club for continuing to host the TSL, with Nick operating the canteen at each round.

The TSL welcomes all participants to the Grand Final on Wednesday 28 August - Saint MIchael's College v Norwood Morialta High School.
The TSL Grand FInal will be followed by an awards presentation for: TSL MVP, TSL Golden Boot, Twilight Cup (Grand Final) Best on Ground (from each school), and the Twilight Cup (Grand Final winners).

No, that is a different knock out comp played during school time.
Rostrevor v St Michael's and Gleesen v ? (Not sure who)

The mid-week twilight soccer is now finished with NMHS winning the Grand Final.
