Hey champ.

Cougars v Salisbury Villa was a very evenly matched game. We looked very flat and a little disinterested early, copped 2 well constructed goals with in 30 mins. We replied a couple of minutes before half time.. neat Perrotta finish.
We pressed hard in the second half, finally scoring the equaliser in the dying minutes. Hard Ferrarro strike split the wall, deflected in passed the keeper.
Patty Barbaro, amazing little player for Villa. Has unexpected speed, strength and a marvelous shot. Just felt he was relied upon a bit too much.. like a certain some one that plays for the Vipers
Hope that wasn't too bias chief!

I can appreciate a good payout as much as the next bloke, but the only thing that made any sense in all that, was that your granny's condition would seem to be hereditary. Move on Max, family health issues and irrelevant pictures is lazy, and just doesn't cut it here.

Sounded like a good close game between the Cougers and Villa, Barbaro up front gave us some problems too. He's quick for a big guy and he's got a lot of skill. Think if they had him and Paradiso up front all year they would still be in the mix for promotion.

Sets up a great game this week between Jets and Cougers

F-uck you blokes love making yourselves look like wankers. You're all still carrying on about something that happened months ago.

Just to make you all look more stupid, here's my original post that you guys keep referencing as 'whinging' and 'carrying on'.

"Good tussle in the A's. Close game and probably fair result in the end, although I think Villa may have just worked the Viper's keeper a little more.

B's was disappointing for us. May be bias, but I think we were the better side but couldn't finish. Well done to Vipers for taking their chances and finishing with the win. We had a couple goals ruled off side by the Viper's linesman. Second was given to us by the ref, before he spoke to the linesman and called it off side. Second definitely wasn't off, but them's the breaks.

Nice to meet you Steve, and sorry I didn't get a chance to have a beer with you later. Hope the injury doesn't keep you out too long, and good luck for the rest of the season. Again, good to have a beer with some of the Viper boys after the game, and I think both games were played in good spirits. Good result for the A's in the end against the top side, and hopefully it keeps us in the loop".

Struggling to see the whinging and carrying on you speak of? Hardly the words of a man who was so infuriated by the events that he would have to seek out the official afterwards  . If anything, I think I was pretty gracious in defeat, and was simply giving my opinion regarding some of the calls.

It was after this post that Steve and his merry men went buntas, and are obviously still losing sleep over it. Not sure why it's so engrossing for you, but judging by the fact you're picturing my balls, I can only assume you sleep next to Steve and he's been keeping you up at night due to his constant nightmares over the issue. If that's the case mate, just sleep on the lounge and let Steve keep the queen bed to himself. Problem solved.

Now shut up, and rest that mouth before the work out it will no doubt have this weekend.
  Typical A80...What a short memory.

I appreciate you obeying what I ask, how about finding the conversations when you brought bagged the club officials on here..
Go and find those threads please....

Cougars would want to get a big crowd down there to support them, as Jets, if nothing else, have a vocal support base who will be doing all they can to get them over the line. Definitely can make all the difference in the big games.

We were lucky to have played Modbury when they had 4 first team players out through suspension and injuries (3 of their top goal scorers missing!). Given the spanking they gave Monarchs on the weekend, I'd say they're back playing! Cougars... only 3 goals conceded in the second half of the season - pretty impressive!

If I didn't have to play, I'd go and watch this game.

Every Napolitani, Calabrese, Foggiani and Siciliano from Croydon will b there A80
As for Modbury, our preperations this week will be intense and regardless of the team that is out on the park for Modbury, we will be fighting tooth and nail for the victory!!! We love playing on Modburys pitch also.... So one things for sure.. They're in for the game of their lives.... They're standing between us and getting promoted.

Just joking mate you hit some good form at the back now I can go back to just scoring a goal in the last two games and know we should get the win :D

I might have to drop past and visit the zeppole stand then.

Modbury's pitch is good to play on. Suppose to be a springy 22C Sat as well, so perfect conditions, and there'll be no excuses for either side. Good luck, should be a cracking game, and I'd come and watch if I could.

Not sure that's entirely accurate Number 2, as we scored 2 on the weekend, but Cougars have been impressive none the less.

Modbury scoring goals for fun the last 2 rounds with 15 in total. Again it would seem another inform attack is taking on the inform Cougars defence.

If Cougars get up, I may be tempted by some homemade salsiccia to get down there for the championship decider. :D

Nope - they conceded 3, including the 2 they copped from Villa, in the second half of the season. The other goal being by ARBE back in round 10... followed by 5 clean sheets. Four 1:0 wins and one 3:0 win against Gleeson.

I stand corrected. Sorry, I had a brain fade as I was well aware of all those clean sheets  .

Love the detailed summary

  Now there's a saying you don't see on this forum everyday!

Appreciate the offer mate, and no need for the extra fennel and chilli, cause when you're onto a good thing, why change it? I might have to back out the vino to compliment it though.

It was definitely the highlight of my season so far  , and I've already told the boys we should be following in your footsteps, and serving up the same traditional food at our club given our roots. Not enough of it getting around these days if you ask me.

In previous years they could be played after the end of the season.

I agree Terrible shot. Although you forgot some other names in there :D . Unfortunately we only had a semi-fit Pat and Steve (rarely played together) for the second half of the season, and lost Schimmi and Calabria back to back for the whole season after the Viper's and RBE games earlier in the year. Including yourself, I rate our 4 guys as the most talented strikers in the league. Just unfortunate they all couldn't keep fit and firing together for the whole season.

Had they all kept fit, we would have been in the mix for promotion, and the title, and may have even given you more competition for the golden boot! We lost a lot of close games without these guys, and I have no doubt their finishing ability up top would have made the difference. Already some concrete rumors getting around of some big new additions for next season as well.

Obviously I couldn't care less about your club (blame Steve  ), but your dominance and hard work this season deserves reward, so I wish you luck for the last few rounds. Whatever happens, congrats on an incredibly prolific season, and getting your club to where they are today (don't care what the lynch mob say, Vipers are nothing without you  ). Haven't seen a striker as dominant as you since the late 90's partnership we had of Schimmi (V1.0) and Costanzo (there was only one version of him).

All the Vipers boys have had a good year this year  I can't say anything bad about Steve as he is the one that pays me every Tuesday
Villa next year with all those players fit and firing will be in the Promotion mix again, like you said this year you have had some good results with a depleted squad due to injuries. I think you should try and make it out to the Cougers vs Vipers game next week for what looks to be a GF.
