I meant how does it generate enough power to light the led's?

There IS a battery inside to start with.
The battery can only hold enough power for the light for a finite amount of time, so it needs to have the battery changed or recharged. In this case, it's recharged.
The crank turns a large magnet (there's a magnet inside these flashlights) very quickly through a bunch of coiled wires. As the magnet runs through the coiled wires, it induces an electric current in the wires. This electric current re-charges the battery, which then powers the light.
