feel for the seaford guys... great club to play against over the last few years
i think most fed clubs dont really appriciate their amateurs and the effort they put in...

Re: Starting a new club
agree fed clubs usually see the amateur team as another revenue raiser, which to be fair to the fed club is needed as the costs to run a ffsa club is over the top so they need every penny they can get. this is why most clubs who have played at fed grounds usually struggle to rise up thru thre leagues(exc a couple) or fold or in Modbury Jets case go on their own. Imagine the support Modbury feds would have at their games if they had shown their amateur namesakes(original Jets) support and a bit of welcoming to their premises. Para Hills also had a thriving amateur side until they realised they were just a cash raiser and got nothing in return. If run with support an amateur club can be a big bonus to fed clubs( i'm sure they polonia boys put plenty over their bar and are probably volunteers on the saturday?PASC?)

Re: Starting a new club
Hence why a new club is being formed. I would just like to clarify again that a lot of our lads are awaiting the fee structure for next season before making a decision. I for one hope an agreement can be made between players and club because I love Seaford and have done since switching from the cove years ago.Seaford Oracles wrote:If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to stay.PASC wrote:charging an amateur 400+ is s disgrace ...

Point is the canteen made a lot of money for the club - thick5hit

Always sad to see issues like this at any club - Running one successfully is a great deal of work for a lot of people - Always a shame for them when stuff like this happens.

We have no intention of being a nationality based club, nor do we have any confusion about how difficult this will be. We have goals and a vision but most importantly passion for football.

im sure the fee structure will be changed and the fees will not be so excessive. i have no official capacity at the club now but i do believe this to be so and on a personal note,i sincerely hope so. absolutely... we absolutley love our club...... i think we play a big part especially in the actual club/social/comitee side of things.. we have had our share of disagreements naturally but luckily there are some level headed people at the club who realise that we are an integral part of that place and appriciate our small sense of entitlement from a cultural/ ethnic perspective. I think the more support we get the we will contribute. Would love to see more fed guys that finish up stick around and carry on at the amateurs... how can you go wrong having two successful clubs in one?

Good luck mate, I'm also in the process of starting a new club, Mawson Lakes SC. Feel free to get in touch, maybe we can bounce some ideas off each other!
