Well done to the blue eagles for defeating para hills 1-0 in the cup semi final on Friday night on what can only be described as an appalling pitch.
Shame on the FFSA for:
- not playing the semi final on a neutral ground. It was played at blue eagles. (Before Burton semi finals were played on neutral grounds)
- Not ensuring a full team of officials. Only one assistant referee showed up. The line was run by a blue eagles parent.
Isn't the role of the FFSA to ensure fairness is not only done but seen to be done?
1. "Appalling" pitch was the same for both teams.
2. Blue Eagles parent running line or other officials had no bearing on result.
3. Blue Eagles were drawn as "home" team.
You forgot to mention that Blue Eagles didn't supply ball boys and an unlimited supply of balls.
Stop your whinging, it was a good, tough and intense game of football played by 2 teams that didn't want to lose, unfortunately someone has to lose.
1. Just because the pitch was the same for both teams didn't make it less 'appalling'.
2. As for the linesman, would Blue Eagles accept an Enfield parent running the line in the final because the FFSA could not provide a second linesman?
3. In the past semi finals where rightly played on neutral grounds despite one team nominally designated the 'home team'. I notice Blue Eagles have been named the 'home team' in the final, does that mean the game will be played at Marsden instead of Hindmarsh?
It was a hard well fought game, the only 'loser' was a sense of 'fair go'.
One thing is for sure, you won't have worry about any of the stuff you have written about whether its at MARSDEN or HINDMARSH as you will be at home in PARA HILLS.
