Seems unusual to put joint hosts in the same pool.

Split them, and you can have all of Pool A played in Aus & all of Pool B played in NZ.

But then, it's not a massive issue. I assume some games of Pool B will be in NZ.

Yeah I saw this today, happy with that. Would have made more sense if Aus and NZ were in different pools though and Perth, Adel, Syd, Melb, Bris and Tassie all got a pool game each.
