Not a good day for Vipers to drop points with Cougars and Modbury getting the chockies.... Thanks to Salisbury for their after match hospitality....

Good tussle in the A's. Close game and probably fair result in the end, although I think Villa may have just worked the Viper's keeper a little more.

B's was disappointing for us. May be bias, but I think we were the better side but couldn't finish. Well done to Vipers for taking their chances and finishing with the win. We had a couple goals ruled off side by the Viper's linesman. Second was given to us by the ref, before he spoke to the linesman and called it off side. Second definitely wasn't off, but them's the breaks.

Nice to meet you Steve, and sorry I didn't get a chance to have a beer with you later. Hope the injury doesn't keep you out too long, and good luck for the rest of the season. Again, good to have a beer with some of the Viper boys after the game, and I think both games were played in good spirits. Good result for the A's in the end against the top side, and hopefully it keeps us in the loop.

Any chance of you writing an essay at 3am tomorrow morning regarding the battle you had with your opponent and the role the referee had to play in it? :P

B's,Certainly bias   but that's ok....You guys didn't have too many shots at all, we had a pretty casual day in defense but that may be my bias
Couple of goals ruled off side????? you had one were the tap in from where I saw (sideline at that stage) was a correct call, plus the ref was 40 meters behind play  .. That's football.. Happy with our passing game and but for the last pass on too many occasions made it closer than it should have been. Good too meet you as well, couldn't have a beer with 4 days to go with Dry July but the feed afterwards was appreciated.

A's, to be honest a draw was a fair result. Your #10, Patty I think....Looks can be deceiving and was a handful for our defense, a very good player and was definitely your go to man searching for a win. Anthony came on for the last few minutes and nearly poached a goal but for a "tight" offside call that saw it end in a draw. Our boys will be better for the run missing our top Goal scorer this week, hopefully a few will pull the trigger next week instead of passing off, one of the downsides of missing a player that has had a dominant season.....Good luck with the rest of the year.

Have to mention something about the Adel Pumas.... The pitch was fantastic considering the weather, the people were very warm, friendly and hospitable, the food and coffee was amazing, heaps of partners, wives and kids supporting their team, has 3 quality/ competitive sides and the referee in the reserves game is the best ref I've ever had in the amatuer league hands down. Thank you guys, and all the best for seasons to come.
PS- the official referee in the A team game was fantastic also, aswell as the two official lines people- credit to SAASL.

Thats right you played on the small pitch   fair point
Boys played well without me mate just couldn't finish off in that final third today. There just saving me up for the return fixture in 6 weeks time. Hoping both teams got something on the line that day. :D

Geez, still a bit early to say mate but its heading that way!! Might have to puncture your tyres that day so you can't make it to the game :P I just think mate if you don't have someone that can finish up front, especially someone dominant like yourself, your going to find it hard to pick up 3 points every week. Anthony Perrotta came on for last 30 mins yesterday and scored us an important goal. If not for him, would have ended nil all aswell.

Sorry to say that RBE looked a shadow of the team that pushed us to the limit in the first round. Their effort was still there, they just looked slow (both body and mind) and physically off the mark (either too light or too heavy). Perhaps it was just our bigger field that meant these weaknesses were more exposed. Any way, best of luck to them for the rest of the season.

Thanks mate, can safely say on behalf of the club, one of the toughest but most enjoyable battles we've had this year. In regards to the change rooms, we are fully aware its not ideal, we do the best we can with the funding/ the facilities we have so personally I think there's no need for pot shots when we are doing the best we can possibly do.

Jets scored with their one shot on target, a soft red for both sides.
Hard slog not the greatest of games. Cheers for the byo red death tins lads, will have them stocked next time you come around!

What do you expect when you didn't have a bar set up?

One shot? I was only there for 20 minutes of the A's and saw more than that.
