Olympic reserves have good experienced players then when they play against a young Fulham side with players made up from the U17 team this happens.
The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be almost impossible. It's the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.

Olympic are undefeated and top of the league, while Fulham are bottom without a win. This result is not at all surprising and Olympic should be in the Prems league.

Olympic could be in the prems if they met the requirements, hopefully they can for next season.
However did they really have to go on and score 16 goals? Its not as if they needed the gaol difference.

Regarding the fulham v Olympic reserves result, fulham have a very young team, made up primarily of U17 girls fulham actually played quite well. Game was played in good spirit, Olympic started the game with only 11 players in the squad. Then Olympic actually took a player off at half time and played the second half with 10 players. Then another player came off with a breathing problem so they actually played some of the game with only 9 players. Later in the game they swapped the goalie to play on the pitch also.
What do you do tell the girls to deliberately not score?

There is no easy answer.

It appears that the coach did the right thing in limiting the scoring.

You cannot help the quality of the players at olympic - they are experienced prems players whose life choices limit their options in playing for prem clubs.

I wouldnt read too much into it being involved in the game at this level we simply ask the girls to perform to their abilities, we dont tell them hold back. It is up to the coach to mitigate these sorts of scores.

On occasion even my daughters team has been instructed to ensure they maintain structure and move the ball around and to do it properly.

We too have put our goalie on the pitch (ironically she has scored too).

There is no shame in it and it certainly appears Olympic coach did all the right things.

Flourishing indeed ..... your Pink Panthers have 3 teams in the cup Semi Finals, 4 hard working competative squads. And we wouldn't be there if not for people like you Jim. Thank you.
