Fulham v West Beach
A and C grade postponed.
B grade 4-3 to Beach.
B teams were happy to play on a smaller pitch although full size by FIFA standards more suited to our junior boys teams at the lower end - 12s and 13s.
A teams didn't want to play on either of the 2 smaller pitches and both main pitches deemed not suitable by ref.

Gardens a well drilled, workmanlike side. Well done to SID on getting them up and
Running after everyone wrote them off. They looked VERY good today.
Although Nathan being out for the Downs would've been a massive out.
Think the Gardens could prob win their remaining games and win the league.
Very entertaining game to the neutral.

Southern Knights ( 7 ) Munno Para ( 1 )
Tom Foglia 2
Chris Bradley
Lee White
David Mooney
Ben Jones
T.O.G.
Southern Knights and and an undermanned Munno Para battled out an untidy first half and were tied at 1-1 going to the half time. Both started minus regular keepers with Munno Para's As and Bs keepers out injured and Knights Stephen Maguire still in Sydney after watching Manchester United.
After the break it was a different story as Knights, with the return of David Mooney, gelled better and Tom Foglia, Jamie Faulkner and Robert Marsden pushed Munno Para on the back foot. Chris Bradley and Ben Jones motored all day whilst at the back Jimmy Stewart, Iain Stewart, Leigh White and Aaron O'Toole, with Matt Harrison in goal kept Munno Para at bay. Keenan Armstrong playing a lone role for Munno Para seemed to be the main threat. Tom Foglia netted twice, David Mooney, Chris Bradley, Ben Jones and a rare goal from Lee White were scores on the day
Reserves
Southern Knights ( 4 ) Munno Para ( 2 )
Anthony Micheal 2
Dustin McMahon
Andrew Alvino
Knights Reserves started quickly going ahead through Andrew Alvino after about 1 minute and asserted themselves throughout the first half. With Andy Alvino, Adam Djekic and Brendon Buck into the side, Knights were fielding a good quality side, despite the absence of Sam Jones and Tony Harrison. Anthony Micheal regained his goalscoring touch with 2 goals and Dustin McMahon added one from the penalty spot. At 4-0 it seemed that the result might blow out but Munno Para fought hard to grab 2 goals.

Re: Sunday Results - July 21st
As mentioned 4:2 Lions win. What a brilliant game, scored in the first minute and never looked back. Near perfect display, shame about the alleged racist remarks from TTG's forward, which surprisingly ended in a caution for Lions. But first points for Lions, well deserved!

Surely they were the same color as the shirts, if applying the same ruling as for skins.Hatchet Squad wrote:Players moaning and carrying on when told they must have shin pads on. Some players playing with hoodies underneath the playing shirts ? Wtf

Re: Sunday Results - July 21st
Player was told to remove his hoody. He walks off and refuses to play on, cue substitution. There were others especially in the ressies who had long sleeve shirts on under the playing top that didn't match. They had no home referee so one of our spectators did it. Not taking anything away from their playing ability but this team just takes the piss. Their linesman spent about 20 minutes chatting to someone whilst standing near the corner flag.Rose Pedals wrote:Surely they were the same color as the shirts, if applying the same ruling as for skins.Hatchet Squad wrote:Players moaning and carrying on when told they must have shin pads on. Have it from a very reliable source that Fulham would have had a few missing today.
Also, apparently no effort was made by them to try to get the pitch into some playable condition, despite a number of drying hours available.
Can these two facts possibly be linked ?

Both points false - 1 player who would be a starter unavailable today.albion83 wrote:bigpond wrote:Fulham v West Beach

And it was Beach more than anyone who was pushing for the game to be postponed.
Our C club ref was willing to play the Cs on pitch 2 (not main pitch) and Beach coach was as keen as anyone not to play that game either - granted our C coach also agreed to postpone.
Maybe Beach had a few of the Irish Lads unavailable today in the As - more than 1 way to look at it.
In the end big Steve the ref made the call and as we know he doesn't listen to anyone and makes his own mind up.

Re: Sunday Results - July 21st
Raptors 0 Macedonia 0 . Both B-grade and c-grade games were postponed , due to pitch condition .
Raptors volunteers worked hard to remove surface water from the pitch , prior to kick off , so game could go ahead .
The pitch cut up very easily and it became more like a bog . A number of crunching tackles , hard but fair .
Goalkeeper for Raptors was easily best on ground .
Hope the No.12 for Macedonia , who went off with a head injury , is ok .
