Starc call is a bit tuff but to be honest Cowan shouldn't have got a gig in the first test.

Is Harris fit?
One would assume he is, if he's been named.

It won't be long until he is injured and on a flight home though. Probably sit next to Watson on that flight...

Anything to avoid another 6 weeks of this cabernet.

I doubt it, the Poms would of had another whinge about something else, maybe like the weather was too hot for the!

Who's doing the whingeing about this one again, the aussies or the English.

the drs is broken, broad didn't walk, clarke's useless at referring because he thinks everything should be in his favour.

You know what they about those that assume  There is a lot of bowling to do, I suppose we will soon find out.

The start of the game is delayed to 7:45 (adelaide time) as the teams are to be presented to HRH Queen Elizabeth II.

Now I'm a devout monarchist but couldn't she have just turned up 15 minutes earlier and the game starts on time. I've sat in her private seat at Lords.

This is truly bewildering. Mind you, if john dedes comes to Polonia Reserve this saturday, I will do my best to afford him similar treatment. Game will therefore kick off at 3.15pm, hopefully the Croatia boys are ok with it.

It can be arranged - best we have are some orange witches hats that we could use to reserve him a premium spot near the clubrooms.

Fair to say it will be another interesting match.

Aussies were all over the top order until Trott and Bell steadied the ship and dug in.

If anyone told me Steve Smith would take 3 wickets to keep us in the hunt, i'd have laughed at you, but well played young man.

Great knock by the Sherminator, i meant Ian Bell... Very good at what he does.

Dissapointing from most of Englands top order, if we can get to 350 id be pretty happy. Think Swanny will play a big part in this test......

Sums it up nicely.

How we manage Swann will be the key - sink or swim.

Especially those that got starts and didn't continue.

Piers Morgan even tweeted about KP walking off withotu waiting for the umpire. Just think if he'd stood his ground technology would have saved him.

Loved the NO BALL!

Ian Bell 3 ton's in the last 3 Ashes tests. WELL I NEVER!

Can only assume deaf then - remember snicko!

As for some of the pommy batsman backing up virtually half way down the pitch before ball being bowled........

Can understand a few inches, even a foot or two, but a few yards............bordering on cheating!

Didn't notice it but how is it cheating, the bowler simply doesn't bowl.

Snicko isn't available for referrals, with no hot spot I think he'd have got away with it. The second part about technology was my comment not piers morgans.

There was a hot spot, albeit miniscule. Bottom line, well done on KP.

Why would thinking that matter... you want him to walk.

Sorry to break the illusion but I have very little control over the actions of any of the players in this test match.

I congratulate KP for walking as I will any batsmen, especially when it's one that they might have gotten away with.

was thinking about this earlier with lehman having the commentary going. Not sure if this already happens but there should be no replays of decisions until after it has been decided not to review.

Otherwise, you could get a signal from the dressing room.
