Why would the age of the linesman make a difference? I've seen a 10 year old and a 75 year old flag for throw-ins and offsides in a proportionate manner.

These 17 year old linesmen will be the referees our league needs in 5 years time, so I wouldn't be giving them a hard time.

We love them all & most come in after the game or hang around for a chat about their performance even Petros. They would all be putting their hand up for this appointment & apparently one has even completed his fitness test to make himself available.

Big ponce you need to worry about what referees they have in div 2 next year. I will always moan about petros or any ref that performs below par. At the end of the day they don't change their minds once the score card goes in and the sun rises on Monday and we all have dirty hangovers.....A draw might stop the moaners maybe what do you reckon big poached egg. Come on down big ponce and see how two decent teams go about business at the pointy end of the league table.....

In my observations to date, he is worse than Matthew Breeze!
There are some great refs out there, but not this guy - yet. Maybe he will be one day with a lot of hard work and honest, constructive feed back from designated inspectors.

Out of the blokes on this list, I recognize Carlos, Steve & Craggsy - the others I might recognize if I saw them.
Steve is in my opinion the best, Carlos & Craggsy think they are better than they actually are!

You know a ref has had a bad game when both sides are frustrated with the officiating (I lump Carlos & Craggsy in this category due to recent form).

Refs don't tend to talk to teams much before the game these days. In my opinion, a pre match chat from the ref always led to a better standard of game from the players & the ref.

I have the utmost respect for the men in the middle and it is a thankless job but this bloke is just plain and outright useless... Constantly leaving both teams scratching their heads at his decisions... He even blew the whistle for no reason last week then said 'oops, sorry, play on"... Time to concentrate on the Juniors for him I think...
