I have just had my first look of football down under, travelled to see a cup game between, a div 1 Saturday side and a div 1 Sunday side in Salisbury East. I understand its been wet you know, but the pitch was well Allen Ladd. I recon this affected the standard, because the boys seemed to be getting into alright positions, but yeah, their first touch and pass selection left much to be desired.

Although the long ball, lack of build up and always passing forward reminded me of substandard English amateur football, you know I was expecting alot more. I think it was the 2nd goal from the wanderers, well, it was right out the top draw, off the right hand upright, left the taller keeper of the two for dead! Yeah definitely the highlight of the 90 minutes for me.

I was disappointed with the referee, penalising some great tackles, thats what amateurs is about like, crunching the quicker winger as he taps it past you, that will learn him. you know what i mean, it becoming soft.

Someone needed to tell the westies centre back that you don’t score 2 points for going over the bar, plonker. hope he had to shower alone, let everyone down.

As the centre back who missed how about coming and saying that too me instead of getting high on keyboard power. Good job I have a good bunch of team mates who of course didn't need to tell me I messed up but let everyone down? Sounds like both Munno Para teams put in a great effort.
They will be taking that good form when they travel to O'Sullivan Beach next week to play Southern Knights....will be a few very tough encounters for the home side as per the League Round 3 encounter earlier this year...

You look back over some of the vintage football videos lad, I don't see anyone going down with cramp in them, you know what in saying, and you've now got lighter boots, lighter balls, lighter bodies! I recon its the lack of a pre match smoke that does it lol, thos were the days.

Downs only scored 6 goals themselves...Flinders scored 2 of the best own goals I have seen for a long time...a curling 30 metre screamer and a reverse swinging dipping lob...both giving Flinders keeper no chance....game was played in good spirits with no malice...conditions in the centre of the field were difficult for both teams at times...

Munno para had two tough games today.
The A's lost 3-1 to inter in some tough pitch conditions (slippery in the middle)
While the B's lost 2-1 to gardens while pushing gardens the whole game I personally think Munno Para
played very well and were unlucky not to take it to extra time or even win.
must say I am proud of the way both our teams played with pride passion and made two good games of football.
Special mention to the B grade for that special effort in a game no one gave us a chance.
Thanks also to no#11 from gardens for helping me off the pitch and a good contest throughout the day

I picked you for an upset...hard luck Munno...You Too and Mr X will feel vindicated now

you also forgot to mention that this ref has been in the country for three weeks and was being assesed by a referee coach who is putting his own report in, Nathan said to the ref he just f**Ken kicked means he gave a straight red.Witnessed and heard by referee coach/assessor so in your words good luck with that....Keep worrying about one man way to prepare but we will keep you guessing right up until Sunday kick off.......
