Are they still using the SSG goals?

U14A JPL
Comets 3 def Western Strikers 2 @ Ellis Park, good hard-fought game, both sides had several scoring opportunities, spells of pressure, and showed their mettle, Strikers missed a penalty (saved by goalie) at 2-2 then Comets created a nicely worked goal and held on resolutely. Game attracted a decent crowd too.

Re: round 12 results
Even if this is the case, the goals are the same size for both teams, I am sure that Adelaide City have won games on this pitch before......and the point is what....

Re: round 12 results
Pitch sizes and goals do vary even in the same division and it is up to the teams to check these out if concerned and confirm their agreement to play, verifying with ref if necessary. We have played Metros and Croydon on grounds that to me are smaller than ideal for 14s (but assumedly meet the minimum specs) but we need to consider there are usually few options so you just need to adapt and do your best irrespective.
Re: round 12 results
The goals at metro are only 21 ft by 7 ft 3" on the eastern pitch recommendation is 24 ft by 8 ft
western pitch are 23 ft 6" by 7 ft 9" some one forgot to tell the council when they installed them
hence many draws on the eastern pitch 0 0

Re: round 12 results
Sorry, the size of the goals are the reasons for draws? We are talking Junior Football, when a team wins, no complaints about the goal size, they'll take the win, however, if they happen to lose or draw....its the 200mm that made all the difference. Getting a tad silly I think, we've lost and won on this pitch. I am of the opinion if you're good enough on the day you'll put it in the back of the net 200mm withstanding!!!

The goals are 1.05 metres too narrow, not 200mm
6.27m vs required (not "recommended") 7.32m
That's 3'5" in old speak
I am more  that you actually measured them....Junior soccer at it's best.
Would you sign an affidavit to that effect?
Junior soccer at it's worst.
