Mt Compass 1 - 1 ACU falcons

ACU took an early lead, and it took the Cows until deep into the second half to get back on level terms, despite having the bulk of the attacking pressure without really creating good chances.

A very tight game, with little to choose between the teams.

Munno Para 2 - Angle Vale 2

The classic tale of not taking your chances, Munno Para 2-0 up and blew a plethora of easy opportunities that should have meant the game was over by the half.

Credit to Angle Vale who weathered the storm and fought hard in the second half.

Thanks to Flinders this league is the biggest load of sh#t I have ever played in with teams forfeiting all the time. This means we have not played two games in a row since round 2 & 3. Think we might go back to Sundays.

Cheers to 6 flinders lads for at least turning up & thanks to the other 6 or 7 f*%$#@&s that didn't,I mean I didn't have anything else to do,why would I want to watch my boy play so instead I drive up there for that shit.

Due to a family committment couldn't play today but well done to the boys - by all accounts a solid display in a game we should always have won.

Vigilante with a cracker - so he tells me..

Week off and then the tough road home begins.

Cove 4 Mt lofty 1 a big thankyou to Lofty lads who along with us waited half hr while a league appointed ref decided to go home after not finding pitch and full credit to ref coordinator who took his place albeit a late ko in atrocious conditions including hail and torrential rain some good football from both sides and diehard support made a miserable day bearable thanks to all and good luck to Mt Lofty for rest of season

Selfishly, seems I timed my Thailand hiatus to perfection.

The frustrating part of all this is that we are realistically out of the running to take out the league and, whilst not taking your chances is not taking your chances, I feel like the lack of polish (and probably throw in match fitness) from the lack of continuity of games has been a critical issue.

A well contested tie that could easily have had a few more goals. Thanks to the Para boys for making the trip down, a decent bunch! Looking forward to the return leg.

And after all the adverse comments about Refs recently, a big well done to the man in the middle today! Controlled the game well without really being noticed.

Couple of guys went off with injuries - hope all OK.

Match played in difficult conditions.... probably the same as everyone else's this weekend.

We were very lucky to get a win today,Falcons fielding a 10 man squad went in at the break 2 nil up,Para winning the game with a penalty as the last kick of the game-not much pressure on the penalty taker,score we win,miss we draw.

Q-Are you allowed to just simply swap a player to go in goals for a penalty because you think he has more chance of saving it than the other guy,bearing in mind this was not a substitution nor was the original keeper injured?

Does anyone know if One Tree Hill are still playing or are they finished?

Can't believe that Papa Smurf the ref gave u a penalty - he never gives penalties

Will ask him at Fulhams poker tournament tonight about swapping keepers for a penalty.

Two good goals in a fairly even, if scrappy at times, game that turned a bit tasty toward the end.

I am guessing OTH are done for the year. Frustratingly we still haven't managed more than two games in a row all year.

We are a bit disappointed we won't get to play the local derby and equally as disappointed that we don't have an extra excuse for a session at the Blacksmiths.

St Peters 3 - 3 Mt Compass

Compass from behind 3 times, had a goal not given hit the bar twice and post once. Given the conditions and difficult playing surface a draw was probably about right.

I've seen and read a lot on here about club refs. Today's was not the worst I've seen, but was the first to celebrate a goal with his teammates!

FAO Flinders Div 5;

Are you still fielding a team? A lot of 2-0 defeats suggests forfeits. Can you advise please, as we are having our ground ripped up for new irrigation systems after this weekend and are in the process of arranging an alternate ground for your game.

Looks like the second last game of the season between Fulham and Cove could be like a grand final... (Although Fulham still have a game in hand to play against Mt Lofty)... does anyone know if Flinders are still playing their games?

Just asking what happens if two teams finish on the same points, same goal difference and same goals scored and goals against?

Mt Compass 2 - 1 Mt Lofty

Another well contested tie between two of the younger sides in the league. Compass were 1 up at HT and had played some great stuff and probably deserved a little more.
After the half Compass extended their lead, but Lofty pegged them back and fought to the end. With Compass down to 10 the last 5 was very tense.
