any word on the beograd situation/debacle

Post by fowler_23 »

Wasnt there meant to be a meeting last night about their future?

People like to know what's going. I can see no problem with that.

Debacle.....A sudden and ignominious failure; a fiasco.

It happened all of a sudden on Sunday without anyone having prior knowledge
and yes its a fiasco

now whats your point?
Whats wrong with you?
Its either indigestion or this forum, and I hope its indigestion
Why?
Because at least I know that will get better in a little while

Just a curious question but, what does this mean for them in regards to relegation?
Will they be relegated for the B grade forefit or will that not come into the A grade finishing position?
Any word on that at all?

where your b-grade finish has no bearing on whether you get relegated or promoted. i imagine if they manage to avoid relegation whith the A-grade this season then next season they would have to submit a A-grade and B-grade to be allowed to stay in Div 2, failure to do so would see them removed.

Div 2 isn't a one team division, they should withdraw in my honest opinion.

There are rules regarding repetitive forfeits if I'm not mistaken.

Wow, it's Amateur Football, well done to Beograd for managing to field a team, we were gutted we couldn't play on Sunday - although we got the 3 points

Oh yes and they will of course say we will field a B team and then come Round 2 when all divisions are set up and seasons started they will have an "unfortunate" situation again and then suddenly not be able to field a B team and then what - they again get away with it?

Can see that 1 coming from a mile away.

round 2 is a bit different to round 10 and also that would become a repeat offence which would be handled differently i would imagine.

No, not at all. They were the better team and deserved their win.

It's more about making sure that the top divisions retain some level of structure.

They will see the season with the As team (although 60% will be made up of Bs players) next season if the commitment is there 2 teams will be made div 2 or 3 (depending if relegated) if there is no comittment at the start of the year possibly one team in div 5 or 6.

I was just curious as to weather there would be any punishment for the withdrawal of the reserves. That was all.
I see that it only be fair to teams that have two for a whole year rather than half like they seem to go through every season with players leaving on holidays or whatever.
Good luck to them for the rest of the year and wish them all the best finding players that can commit for a whole season

I dont recall this happening any other season apart from the last game last season ironically against the knights too.. I believe there is financial penalties for the forefits

There should be fines for not fielding a reserve team but I don't think there is. No disrespect to Beograd intended.

What I ment by my comment was that on another feed you have said that in the second half of the season, you guys struggle due to euopean summers and injuries/suspension.
As to question the commitment by your own players by your own admissions.
The first four div are two team leagues and (personal opinion) if you can't field two then you should not be able to play in the div you are currently or any other until you can. Also meaning auto relegation from the current season.
Credit for sorting out enough to field an A grade and hope your club can move past this set back.
All the best Beograd
