Not sure how many clubs/teams would fit into the category but all it takes is 3 teams and you have $45000.

And if they want social inclusion to work. The best thing to do is the following:

Dont let these new guys start up their own clubs with no structure and use government money.

Best would be to send 4-5 players to a local club. So Polonia get 4-5 players. Seaford get a few. A northern club gets a few. Play them at clubs near their homes. Government then pays these clubs. Nothing over the top either. Just their rego fees etc + a bit extra for boots or a tracksuit which the clubs can purchase for them.
are you saying the league gets 15k if one of these teams form???
Can't see it being anywhere near that much, my guess would be $300-400 a player....Still adds up over 2 squads but is only a guess going on what clubs charge for fees, track suits and kits etc....

So it's no different to an established club receiving $5000 in grants to subside playing equipment etc

Polonia Sports and Recreation Club received a $5000 grant at the beginning of this year to assist with sport equipment, uniforms, medical training and equipment and ground maintenance equipment

Apply through the state government....We apply for every grant possible, you win some you lose some.

They are now tightening up the process though...

Why would they give separate grants .

The $5000 has been given to your club from the goverment . Its how your club decides to distribute the money .

The way I understand it they are 2 different organisations, one is Croyden Kings and the other Polonia Amateurs...There is no reason they could not both apply and receive grants...

So they have separate company names??? or the share the same company name " Polonia Adelaide Sports Club Inc." in which one plays in the FFSA as " Croydon Kings ( renamed due to the demands of the FFA ) and the SAASL team plays as Polonia

Not sure, that is why I said "the way I understand it".....Going by conversations I had it seemed as they were 2 different organisations playing out of the one venue. Obviously both linked through the Polish community side of it.

Unless Polonia Amateurs have a seperate constitution from the Croydon Kings they may not even qualify for Government grants.

To put a little bit of perspective into this Gardens played Blue Nile in an earlier cup round and apart from holding the start of the game up for 10 minutes whilst they all huddled together for their pre-game motivation speach, their were no issues. A couple got a bit plucky with some of their challenges and a bit of banter was liberally thrown but nothing unusal about that in the SAASL. Mind you they were out numbered by about 10 to 1 which may have effected their tendancy to threaten and abuse.

As a league we need to be careful not to pigeon hole an entire ethnic group based on the unreasonable behaviour of a few. Every club has it's :clown:'s including yours.

not at all....the player who got hit has every right to feel grievance towards the individual. However in all of these topics related to the same sort of thing comments have been made against entire clubs communities and races or eluding to....not many of the posters have really made any worthwhile suggestions other than going on a witch hunt very much reminiscent of KKK behaviour.....

geez that being the case Adelaide Eagles wouldn't have stood a chance....ask Bomber

I wasn't referring to you personally however if you read through I think its quite obvious rather than innuendo that a lot of comments are directed at a certain group of peoples mainly new immigrants Caucasian or otherwise.

People whingeing about gov grants etc...what a load of hogwash..... I agree the final decision lies with SAASL and if they are unable to do anything due to legal constraints then fair enough but if it is a case of them not wanting to do anything or listen to the concerns of the greater footballing community then it requires 'ALL' to force their hand with a show of solidarity as compared to childish name calling.
