Was a great game.Bomber wrote: @ West Coast crowd, after having the likes of Cousins and Gardiner on their list. Thanks for the extra motivation!
Plus so many of them doing the jacket wave before the final siren - GOLD!

It would be irrelevant, because the record books would show that there was no winner in 2012, or that Sam Mitchell was the winner.bubu wrote:Bomber wrote:If I were him, I'd hide it and say "I gave it away" or "sold it already". You go find it!

And they'd just forge a new one.

Saw a GWS player take a mark near the centre circle and run half the pitch to score a goal. I don't think I've ever seen an AFL game where there has never been a defender in his own half before.

That's how shit GWS are. We didn't even need defenders in our own half.Adolf Hītler wrote:Saw a GWS player take a mark near the centre circle and run half the pitch to score a goal. I don't think I've ever seen an AFL game where there has never been a defender in his own half before.

It sounds like when goalkeepers step up to play the offside trap.

If this username offends you does Saloth Sar. At least that is the name of someone that exists.

What a game at AAMI stadium. Certainly a lot more noise than you'd find at Hindmarsh.

Just a matter of if we'll finish with enough fit players now.Porcupine wrote:Essendon looking the goods over Port in the second quarter.

With that Port are slowly pulling it back but I think you'll see it through.

If Port could kick straight they'd have turned it around by now.

Re: AFL Season 2013 thread
I hate when people say they only enjoy one sport... if you can't appreciate the nuances of different varieties, then I feel people are just too stubborn. There are massive differences in tactics, abilities etc. I don't go out of my way to watch some sports, but still enjoy them for what they are.Porcupine wrote:Might explain why I have really come to enjoy this in the last month or so.ruud wrote:a screw loose!
I don't watch curling, thinking "this would be better if it was more like football". Take it for what it is.
Except for Motor Racing.. that's just boring. And watching golf.

I never really got into AFL until my son started asking questions about it and decided to look into it. I still don't know a lot of the rules but have to admit I thoroughly enjoyed the games I saw on the weekend.

Re: AFL Season 2013 thread
We gave that game to Essendon. No Watson and half of Stanton yet 3.9 in the last quarter cost us the match. Also a slack second quarter didn't help. For me, we definitely held our own and should have even won it. Good signs though! Lets stick it to hawthorn.
