What only one player!!! I think the minimum is $200 and some get more for a goal or a clean sheet! With the success of the pre season gursey presentation on the weekend there are more funds availble so we are have changed our focus to target better players like the calibre of Sarkies and Vince Lia, yeah we can afford them too.
Look there are some guys at the club that the club have helped out in gaining employment and getting the right contacts set up for them. I would like to know which player you are talking about?

If you know which players I am talking about then you should know what I am taking about then. Peoples names are referred to other people who may need their service, its called networking. No funds are exchanged just names and numbers.
If you think you know for a fact players are getting paid, name them. I have no problem if clubs want to pay players its just that we dont. You can even ask our reserves coach whom I know you guys know very well, he will tell ya that there are no player payments at the club.
$350 a game... It's justified.. the C grade want the title this year in Div 9!!
Also heard from a good source that Pontians are in a bidding tussel with Sydney FC for Sherringham

I tell you, you'll be quickly jumping on board..... super committee focused on results on and off the pitch and are achieving this by looking after their biggest asset... the PLAYERS!!

Lol yes I agree partly due to their own PR and partly due to others talking them up, every game v Pontians will be a mini "cup final" my post was slightly tongue in cheek

Well if we play you in the 2nd half of the season the game might not actually go ahead. Pontians will be so far ahead of everyone else, that the other 9 teams will simply just pack up their gear and not bother anymore.

I'm at my 5th amateur club and only 1 has not paid beer money!! you must be at a club that lacks the ability to fundraise or do whatever it takes to look after the senior players who put in the effort to do your club proud.their wouldnt be many in the top 2 divs that dont give beer money.and some outside the top 2 divs also.the clubs that get good crowds , good sponsorship and are well supported what should they do with their earnings?? most have spent plenty on upgrading facilities etc.. helping the A's with a few beers can only help without being over the top..

With the bulk of that team still there plus some other excellent signings I think they will be hard to top.

Now that i have recoverd from the shock of reading your post about me I can reply with a clear mind.
1) Thanks for letting all on here know who I am. Yes I was fulhams goalkeeper for most of the second round of last season. From the last 7 games we won 6 & drew 1. That might say I was an ok keeper.
2) I left Fulham because I didnt want to play 1st div football. I wanted to play out on the field in the C's this year. But it so happens that Beach need a A's keeper so now I can play with the C's when I can & keep for the A's.
(No running with fairies dreaming about being a better player) I never said I was a great player I let my ability do the talking.
3) For the so called sooks, we all had our reasons for leaving Fulham I can not speak on behave of the others but i will say that Fulham was the 1st & only club we played for when we came to Adelaide from o/seas or interstate. (so how can You call me a Drifter?) or this might say something about fulham????
4) "Big mouth arrogant non talented piece of filth" 1 out of 4 is correct. I do have a big mouth you need one if you are a keeper. The rest well thats up for debate.
5) The guys at west beach will get to know me better. they will know I am loyal, friendly, honest & will speak my mine to their faces not on the web hiding behind an alias.

Was suprised than Plympton beat Raptors but bigger suprises have happened - Raptors look like they have picked up plenty of players so thought they might come close
West Beach have picked up players and will be better again this year - Top 3 for sure
Royal Park - last years form probably isn't much of a guide as they seem to have a new team this year can't see them better than mid table though
Plympton - before Sunday thought they would struggle, still think survival will be their goal although always a hard game
TTG - Looking forward to this one should be contenders and plenty of depth
Vista -rebuilding year by the sounds - mid table's my pick
Croatia - always enjoy playing them have always been a good "football side" but seem to enjoy the social side too much
Pontians - as everyone says team to beat, although a number of physical sides might unsettle them - lets hope so!
Pumas -results in Eastern Challenge were better than I expected but don't seem to have much depth - can't see them as challengers

should be a fairly even and competitive div this year
but i wouldnt read too much into trial game results at this stage. a lot of teams arent fielding full strength teams, players are underdone, or playing out of position to try new things
even with pontians. sure theyre favourites but in amateur league nothings for sure on any given sunday!!

Actually I believe the Downs came 3rd in Div 2 in 2000 and got promoted. Haven't looked back since though.
