Antonis to Parma is an interesting one - will be watching Parma games if he is playing this year.

Mertens for 9 million is a good price - he scored 37 goals in 75-80 games as a winger so represents another scoring threat for us and will fit in with Benitez formation of 4-2-3-1

Be interesting to see Benitez at Napoli and Mazzari at Inter. Don't think Benitez will do well to be honest.

41 clubs in A & B raided by cops over money laundering and tax evasion.
Lavezzi caught up in it too.

What's this about?

Something to do with agents (one mentioned is Alessandro Moggi) and their dealings apparently.

As for Juve - A new forward line for 12mil isn't bad at all. I've been hoping Jovetic would arrive, but since that probably won't go ahead, this was the best option. Tevez should do well in either a 3-5-2 or 4-3-3 so that gives us flexibility moving forward. He's set for a medical later today, so we'll see how long it takes for the deal to become officially official.

No doubt that Marrotta and Conte have an eye for a bargain. When you combine the fees of Barzagli, Pirlo, Pogba, Vidal, Giaccherini, Llorente (and hopefully Tevez), it comes to less than 30 million. Brilliant stuff.

Now we just have to work on shipping out all the dead wood and unwanted players.

There is talk about one of Isla, Vucinic or Matri to Napoli in a swap for Zuniga.

Please let that be true.

Good signing and didn't cost the world, the only problem I have is, as history shows, as soon as things don't go his way he can be a real hinderance. In the past he has blamed homesickness and the distance from his family as the reason for his discontent, and if this is true, these feelings don't just disappear, this is what makes me a little cautious, however Conte should be able to keep him in line.

As for the number 10, I must admit I was a little bit dissapointed to see him offererd the shirt, he hasn't exactly proven himself to be a loyal servant for any club, which is exactly what that shirt means for Juve fans, loyalty and sacrifice, he definitely hasn't shown those qualities before, hopefully that changes. I was of the opinion that the shirt should have been retired. Lets just hope Tevez proves himself worthy.

Baggio didn't show the passion or loyalty of a #10 either when he refused to take that penalty against Fiorentina in 1991. It will be weird to see another person wear the shirt after so long, but as Del Piero himself has said, others should be able to wear it and kids should be able to dream of wearing it. Some greats have worn it - Sivori, Platini, Baggio and Del Piero, while some were not-so-great - Benetti and De Agostini (who wore the shirt for a few years post-Platini).

There was no fuss when rubbish player after rubbish player, culminating in Grosso's terrible spell, wore Gaetano Scirea's #6. That was even worse.

I'm confident Conte will whip him into line. Mancini was a hothead as a player and clearly was clashing with his players as a Coach. I've seen no evidence of that from Conte in his coaching career.

Fair point about Scirea's #6 and your right Del Piero himself has said that young players should aspire to wear it, my point was not for the number itself, but for what it has symbolised over the past two decades, particularly during calciopoli times. I agree some greats have worn the number, but again this was sort of my point, if it isn't to be reitred then maybe it be more selective who it goes to, not some big name player who has just signed on and has a notorious streak for being a little unsentimental towards his clubs.

Tevez will be a great signing, and finally after three years of being promised a "top" striker, we seemingly have two in Tevez and Llorente.

Reports that we could also announce the Ogbonna signing on Monday. Torino will get cash and the co-ownership of Immobile. Will be another solid capture.

I cant believe that Juventus would do this deal - Immobile is going to be a star if he is allowed to flourish in the right environment.

I am really disappointed Napoli have not made a more concerted effort to bring him home, particularly as Insigne and Him have an especially close friendship.

Ogbonna looks to be great business in my opinion.

Juve are going about things brilliantly on and off the pitch hence the success they are having and will continue to have.

It's a good move because while I think he'll remain a Serie A level striker, I don't think Immobile will ever play again for Juventus. So we're effectively just giving Torino 6/7mil for the transfer.

ogbonna aswell? shit is gettin real!

been a long wait but Juve will be back among the top teams once again with this squad

what i like most is the squad has the modern game in mind - very few prima donnas, good athletes, versatility. im guessing conte is having alot to do with picking players with the right mentality - as that was his best attribute

is great for the league that there will be atleast one team who can compete with a seemingly invincible bayern

definately getting rai next year, dont care what my wife says

Napoli are determined to hold out for their full asking price of €63m (£54m) before allowing Edinson Cavani to leave for Chelsea and will not accept an offer including makeweights.

The Premier League club have had an offer of €50m (£42.8m) plus Fernando Torres rejected, well-placed sources close to Cavani’s club said last night – though that remained unconfirmed. But though the new manager Rafael Benitez will not know what resources he has available to him until the Uruguayan striker’s situation is resolved, his new president Aurelio De Laurentiis is only interested in a cash offer and is unlikely to begin negotiations around anything less than €58m.

The inclusion of Torres in a deal would confirm the uncertainty of his Chelsea future in the Jose Mourinho era if Cavani does come into the club, despite the Spaniard collecting another Golden Boot at the Confederations Cup after Spain’s defeat to Brazil in Sunday’s final.

A return to Atletico Madrid, his boyhood club, appears to be one option, though he would need to take a dramatic cut in wages. He appears to accept that a return to Liverpool is impossible, following the response there to his decision to leave in January 2011. It is also highly improbable that he would rejoin Benitez at Napoli when Cavani does leave. Mourinho knows that he must cut the wage bill if he is to bring Cavani in and seems ready to do that, with some prospect of David Luiz being another departure and Paris Saint-Germain potential suitors. Juan Mata has expressed surprise at the idea that he might be another who will not fit the new manager’s plans and may leave.

The expiry of Cavani’s £53m release clause on 10 August does not necessarily mean that he will be sold far more cheaply after that date. It simply means that De Laurentiis does not need to be bound by it when considering offers for the 26-year-old, who appears to covet the idea of a move to Real Madrid most.

Benitez is looking to create his own side at Napoli, with Javier Mascherano a possible target. It is thought unlikely that he will be able to bring other members of his former Liverpool side, Martin Skrtel and Lucas Leiva, to join him.

De Laurentiis has said there is no need to have talks with Cavani to discuss his future and that the only club he has met to consider an offer is Manchester City, whose offer he claimed yesterday was “inadequate.” City have given up hope of signing the player, considering the financial demands too high.
already feeling the strain???

Reports stating that Mario Gomez will choose Fiorentina over several other options.

Good to see Serie A still attracting some big gun forwards such as Gomez, Tevez, Llorente, and Balotelli in January, even though one major name (Cavani) may be on the way out of Italy.

Napoli have upset the apple cart and offered 15 million straight cash for Ogbonna - basically what Juve offered with 10 mill plus half of Immobile.

If we get him I would like Astori as well.

I'd rather we make serious investments, like Dzeko & Jovetic for example.
Ibra's here today, gone tommorow, drains funds with massive wages & normally leaves a bust up or two in his wake.
No thanks.

agree, as much as Ibra is a freak and could win the scudetto of his own boots, i wouldnt want him near the club tbh.
he is all about himself and not a team player.

Jovetic would be awesome but i would make a play for Torres tbh, on a very reduced wage obviously.
If anyone can get him back to his goal scoring prowess, its Benitez!

i want Astori and Ogbonna also

The clause has been met - he will go, the relationship is broken.

I always hoped that Cavani would stay, but its not to be and he will go play in a two team league for the cash. Will go down as one of our greatest, could have ended up being the greatest at Napoli. We will never know now.

Now..... what to do with 100 million euro???????

Jovetic has declined a chance to negotiate with Napoli holding out for a move to Juve. That would be nice but due to a poor relationship between us and Fiorentina I can't see it happening.
Only thing is Fiorentina need the money to get Gomez.
