Was a good hard fought game at O'Sullivan Beach today...some crunching tackles out there on the very inconsistent surface.
Brahma grabbed a 0-1 lead early after the wind conditions led to a messy clearance that the visitors pounced on.
Tom Foglia was on hand to run onto a Scott Bradley through ball to level the score 1-1 moments later.
A couple of good saves and a Brahma long range shot striking the cross-bar kept knight on level terms.
Knights took the lead before half time when Robert Marsden flicked home a well directed free kick into the box.
Hope the Brahma lad the kicked the bottom of our players boot is OK....heard it was most likely a break....good luck with the recovery. Good to catch up with Mark Beck and Joe McGregor!

As with the As, No score in the second Hal after Brahma went in 1-2 in front at half time.
Not the best game to watch with a few unsavoury incidents on the park.
Though Knights pushed Brahma all day and should have come away with a share of the points.

Got the points today at the death, trimmers with a penalty.West Beach got one just before half time. Groomy sent from the touch line within the first ten minutes. Shaun Brennan sent off in the second half down to ten some would say a rash tackle should of been down to nine.Got a bit niggly at the end and then up pops our winner with the last kick of the day, I reckon it was one of the Lindsay,s..C1's got done 3 - 1. Ressies got done 2-1....... both a grade coaches not happy with the referee and may be putting in a report to the league.Got the points that counted happy days

I played in the Vipers vs Cougers game yesterday mate and I got to tell you some of the decisions were baffling. I think he made up his own rules. He totally ignored the linesmans decisions from both teams and called the game himself. I asked him about this and he said he never listens to non official linesmans, he calls it as he sees it. As for the fight one of the Cougers players king hit one of he vipers players and started a bit of push and shove between both teams but to everyones credit we finished the game without further incident.

Pretty sure county is linked to South Adelaide, I don't agree that it was an easy win, however I do agree that for the second week in a row 'Mags' in goals for Knights has pulled off a few cracking saves that could have cost us 2 or even 3 points. Having said that, Brahma's keeper had a few great saves as well.

As I said last week (and copped a bit of flack I might add) he is the worst ref in SA (IMO). Time to retire. How can so many people be so wrong about this bloke. Definite pattern and has been for a while. You really don't know what is coming next and unfortunately it can determine the result of a game in certain circumstances. I know it's a tough job but the vast majority of refs do a great job dealing with the abuse and scrutiny week in week out. This guy just isn't up to scratch. He wants to take centre stage each week leaving players, coaches and spectators with jaws on the floor.

Agree...We were baffled with a few decisions on the weekend but what do you do, at the end of the day it is Amateur soccer and not worth going to war over.

Refs will call it as they see it and majority of the time 50% of the teams playing agree with them, other times well human nature allows stuff ups. If not we as players/coaches would all be playing/Coaching in a much higher league.

No definitely not. Every player and spectator should know that physical violence or the threat of such is not and should not be tolerated. At the end of the day Amateur football is a competetive sporting arena where the vast majority of competitors are out there to give it their all but all come together at the end of a game for a drink (or 10). Lets face it everyone is pretty much playing for bragging rights against their foes. I just think some of these officials have personal views against certain clubs and players through their years of involvement and experience and at times they lose focus on being impartial and dealing with incidents as they occur. It borders on a conflict of interest from time to time IMO.

Completely agree mate, poor finishing and great keeping the story of the day for both teams. Anyone check to see if there is a crack in the crossbar after that belter?

He also didn't make the linesman change sides in the 2nd half. So the linesman were on the same side the whole game. This meant non official linesman from vipers was linesman for vipers attacking half in the 2nd half. Both captains went up to Petros and told him to make linesman change side like they do in every other game. Petros refused to do so and this lead to him over ruling the linesman many times which led to arguing and people getting frustrated. Eventually the vipers linesman throwing the flag down and was replaced with a non official from cougars. This is the first time ive never seen linesman change side at half time. Petros it's time to retire!
