My point wasnt whether they played the game or not, more so that Orakle has this paranoia about Muslims. Why cant christians or atheists "rein in their crazies" too, or are "western" jails full of only one type?

Well in Seaford :!: great to see you put your lad's best interest first, might set the precedent for the rest of the clubs and one day we might rid our great game of this garbage once and for all. :!:

Didn't realise a decision had to be made at the start of the season. Players were consulted and while many were willing to play, a few said that they would not. We could've played and there might've been no trouble. On the other hand if just one of our lads or spectators became hurt then the decision becomes the right decision. We were not willing to take a gamble and we are content with this course of action

And I'll just add that the return fixture will not go ahead either

How many of the current Ghan players were in the Maiwand team when the incident that sparked all this occurred?

What reported problems have there been with the Ghan teams this year?

4-5 players according to the SAASL.
Player sent off against Paynham for a head stomp while the player was on the ground. Is that enough reason??

I think, whatever else, a club - and especially the coaches and more especially the committee - has a duty of care to its members/players.

If they believed that playing any game, against any team, was - in their opinion (because it is their 4rse) - likely to result in their people getting hurt (and nothing was done/offered by the body controlling the game to mitigate those concerns) then they would be a bit daft to play the game.

Despite the state you see some people getting in (and the tr0lls on here), amateur footie is just something for folk to do on a weekend.

I wonder what your point is? I take it you don't agree with us forfeiting this game in the interest of player welfare

Would player welfare still have been the main interest if it was for promotion or relegation?

Couldn't care less what you do or don't and I do understand your concerns however I believe your decision further contributes to the problem rather than being a solution.

A lot of champions congratulate you on here but its unlikely any of their clubs would do the same as you have.

The decision should have been made and announced before the season kicked off.

We gave plenty of notice. We don't care what anyone else thinks. The club, players and supporters fully understood our stance. They are the only people that matter

And we couldn't care less what you think either or any other club for that matter. I suggest you read up on why we took this stance. How can we be contributing to the problem. We are not the problem. The problem is when these cunts decide to attack vulnerable people off the ball. We like to play football against teams that like to play football. We don't want to be looking over our shoulders the entire game wondering if we're going to get king hit. If we are part of the problem then fuck it

If you really didn't care you wouldn't have posted it on a public forum  or is it that you only care when everyone says what a great thing your doing is?

I heard what happened and I am in no way condoning it. Perhaps all the clubs in your div should have got together and supported one another at the beginning of the season and all agreed not to play them. Would've had far more impact. Having said that it appears from previous comments that it may not even be the same team you had trouble with. I hope you wont be forfeiting all games against teams which aren't of fair complexion.

Having said that I hope someone from SAASL sees these discussions and starts taking an interest.

No I have no idea about your intentions but either way you put it out there which leaves it open for discussion which is not always going to be in support of your intentions or decisions.

It does appear that you are/were not even certain that it is the same club you had the trouble with or are you now just not going to play against any team that is of middle eastern, African or the like origin?

Can't you read properly. 4-5 players from Maiwand. Ghan have a strong affiliation with Maiwand ( Ypung Stars).
I'll tell you what, believe whatever the fuck you want to believe.

Ok so because of 4-5 players ( your not even sure if it was 4 or 5 ) out of a possible 28 for two squads you forfeited the games. If you had plenty who wanted to play why not let those that didn't want to play sit it out and those who wanted to play, play provided you had enough players?

As its unlikely the league is going to do much at this stage can we expect that your club will never again play against Maiwand, Ghan, Young Stars, Hazara as they are all closely affiliated?

And for the record, yes you're right. We have no intention of playing any of those clubs.
We don't have to justify our decision to some cunt on footballnews who just wants an argument. Go play somewhere else numpty

Although the SAASL has always been an inclusive league, it maybe time to not allow any new clubs into the league.

This would mean that players would have to integrate into existing clubs & not play for a particular country or race group.

Not a short term solution but possibly a medium term solution. Most amateur players just want to play a competitive game without putting their life at risk.

Possibly, maybe, I'm not sure.

You sound like the one who likes a nice feltch. You knew you were angling for an argument.

Maybe you need to read all the other topics of violence at their games ( all the afghan ones )
1- Yesterday a referee abandoned a game
2 - Payneham players head stomped on
3 - Fingers in bum onore than one occasion
4 - Maiwand being kicked out of the league at least twice in the past
after assaulting referee's
5 - our experiences which above all else our decision was made.

You also say that the guys who didn't want to play just sit out. This was a club decision. If just one of our lads ended up getting hurt then how would the club feel ( especially the coach )

You seem to be one in the minority of people who don't seem to get it.

There really are some tossers here whose opinion is better kept to themselves. There's been more evidence this week with young stars (another team closely affiliated with maiwand) of violence and threatening behaviour towards a referee. After 2 sendings off the referee cancelled the game because he feared for his safety and once he took cover in the changing facilities was chased by a player with a pole. Surely you can't condone or believe any opposition should have to out up with such behaviour as well as the referee.

And to mention an earlier point raised we have already said we all not be playing the return fixture regardless of how the club is doing regarding league position, whether that involves promotion or relegation remains to be seen. It should be noted that we are due to play again in the second to last game of the season so such a scenario arising is a distinct possibility

Far more dangerous waving the flag than playing! but I survive the young stars game.
