Re: Saturday Results 15 June
Sounds like our b's will have to be on our game next week...Modbury have a very strong side and to get pumped like that means they had an off day or Cougars are setting the standard.
Re: Saturday Results 15 June
Let me say that 3 sides at Grange does not work...That is 6 teams trying to share 2 change rooms...this needs to be sorted.

pay attention steve, Jets had a BIG win in the B's.
Cougars did go down to 10 in the 1st half but it was 4-0 at that point.

Was expecting a comment like that ... you need to look at your conduct.. as some of your so called teammates said in the shared changerooms !! the A's game was played in great spirit, with good banter from both sides, as you might have seen had you bothered to hang around, but instead we are talking about you instead of the game !!
Next round pull your head in and forget about lawyers, and causing trouble ...

I have no need to look at my conduct, even the ref thanked me for my actions of trying to control the situation. I would suggest players racially abusing people, starting on spectators, your spectators punching players would be a far bigger concern but then again it's the cougars. Everyone knows what they're like.
As for me bothering to hang around - my family are more important than you.
As for the lawyers, it's your bloke who reckons he's calling his and we should be scared

Now talking about me and not the game - who brought me up again.

It got to that stage because of your silly actions.
As for hanging around, reckon 70% of players have a family in sat div 2 so its up to you if you want to hang around and support your "team mates"

One of your guys filmed the whole event, so take a look at yourself "control the situation" hahaa.

As I said, the ref thanked me for my actions.
I don't believe anyone was filming it but it could be handy when your bloke goes to his lawyer.
I guess it wasn't escalated by one of your players racially abusing people and then trying to start a fight on a spectator on his way for a beer.
I don't need to defend me having to leave today because of family commitments.

Someone whack you right in the kisser GIAE? Hardly surprising news. It was only a matter of time one would think. I'm guessing it wasn't the first, nor the last.

Who would of thought Saint GIAE would take a stand as the poster boy for the fight against racism? What a trooper. A modern day hero if you ask me! See, even the ref noticed and thanked this racism crime fighting superman. It's an honor to even have the right to share this forum with such a martyr. Make no mistake people, this man and his club will lead the charge against unruly spectators, racist comments of any kind, and general misbehavior from players and spectators alike. Modbury Jets have been model examples of this for many years now, and it's about time we all take a page from their bible, smarten up, and join them on this merry quest.
ALL HAIL GIAE! WHO'S WITH ME?!! ANYONE??!!! ANYONE AT ALL???!!!!
Don't worry GIAE, you're a class act mate, I don't care what everyone says about you.

Well when the bloke shouts it at the top of his voice it will get noticed. I dom't want knighthoods or the like. I just went in to get a friend clear from a racist trying to attack him.
I'm sure anyone would have done the same.

If he can't take being told he was a "melt" & a racists that's his problem.
As for the actions of GIAE he was the closest to the incident & came over as I was being surrounded by opposition players.

Hey GIAE, legit question if I may? Slightly off topic so I'll keep it short. Given your comments I've read over the past couple weeks, I have my suspicions as to who you might be, as I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you. Are you tall, bald and slightly tubby? And would your mate with the above comment be short, have a long ponytail, and can often be seen sporting a trademark cap?
Just curious.

Yeah Azzurri80! Modbury's racism is done at a nice gentle volume. When are people going to realise that giae is never wrong. It's like his theories on all things England. The only thing it's not good for, is living there.God is an Englishman wrote:Well when the bloke shouts it at the top of his voice it will get noticed. I dom't want knighthoods or the like. I wouldn't describe myself as tall and probably not "slightly" tubby either and I have no idea on the other person.Azzurri80 wrote: Hey GIAE, legit question if I may? Why does it seem as though the Modbury Jets have a so called racist incident nearly every week. Weren't there allegations of racism at the Downs last week as well? Just curious. Wasn't at either game just read it here. #commondenominator

I remember playing the Downs many, many years ago back in Sunday Div, and I could be wrong, but aren't they a predominantly proud Australian/English team? If so, I would love to know how GIAE and Co. managed a racist incident between the 2 clubs. Maybe something along these lines I'm guessing:
GIAE & Co. - "Oh piss off you good for nothing convict Australian Englishman"
Downs - "Yeah, well why don't you get stuffed you pure blood Englishman"
GIAE you are a hoot mate! I am slowly falling in love with your entertaining posts. A good chuckle is always good for a hang over on a Sunday. Keep up the good work.

Re: Saturday Results 15 June
Modbury Jets A's team were a top bunch of lads. It was a tough quality game and both teams respected each other. It's a shame people like GIAE have to start trouble and give the club a bad name. Modbury can do better without people like this at their club
Re: Saturday Results 15 June
And Blueblood, I'd invite you to post your PM as part of this discussion if you wish. You make some valid points, but the one about our kids is hilarious!! You're right though, maybe I'm being a little unfair on Modbury, but mate, surely you could tell by the tone of my op that it was said a little tongue in cheek and a bit of a piss take.
I will say, that in all the years I've played against Modbury I have never had a problem with any players on the pitch whether verbal or physical. Always hard and fair games. Your spectators on the other hand are a different story, and that includes players who become spectators at some point in the day. I have had many past run ins with your supporters over being called a fat wog throughout the course of a game. Funny how they stopped once I was off the park though. Difference is, I'm a big boy and can take it, and I actually like it as it gets me fired up when playing. It's also something that I've come to expect when playing your club hence the sarcastic tone of my op because I found it hilarious that GIAE and Co. were crying wolf. And to call my comments a "tirade" against your club in general is a little overboard don't you think? I smell a drama queen.
The only part of your PM that made any sense to me mate, was your final statement.
"All I'm saying is people in glass houses mate...."
Maybe you should PM GIAE with the same advice.

How many jets players were sent off for racial abuse?
