PONTIAN V WEST BEACH
Watched Pontian lose 7-1 at home to West Beach today. can only assume they had several players out.
if this is their regular team then they have no chance of avoiding relegation. very very poor.
well done to the Beach , with Fulham losing, Beach are out of the relegation places at last. need a decent run now. this win should give them confidence

Why are people posting separate threads for today's games? Very interesting.

Not really. Still early days. As long as he scores a brace or Hatty each week they should be fine.thistle wrote:westervelt would have to be feeling the heat one would think?

Bit hard when he has done his hammy.Se7en wrote:Not really. Still early days. As long as he scores a brace or Hatty each week they should be fine.thistle wrote:westervelt would have to be feeling the heat one would think?
Can't understand how a Pontian 1st team player as well can play Amateur footy on Sat and then play 1st team on Sunday for Pontians - how can he perform at his best?
Re: PONTIAN V WEST BEACH
That explains a few things then. Wasn't aware of the injury.terminator wrote:Bit hard when he has done his hammy.Se7en wrote:Not really. Still early days. As long as he scores a brace or Hatty each week they should be fine.thistle wrote:westervelt would have to be feeling the heat one would think?

Who cares if he is playing footy on a Saturday
It is Amatuer league not A League
No one seemed to care when Freddie Aguis was playing both

Gardens were winning titles though - Pontians just lost 7-1 and looking very shaky and I am sure Azza would not want to fall in a relegation fight.bloodypassit wrote:Who cares if he is playing footy on a Saturday

For the club to sort out - for all we know Pontians know about it and could be good with it.
But surely can't give 100% playing 1st team Sunday after playing a footy game on Sat.
Re: PONTIAN V WEST BEACH
As we don't know who the player is I doubt the club know as well.
I personally don't see the issue with it. What level is he playing at on a Saturday?

Wish I had a dollar for every time this has been written on this forum, and another dollar for when the author is posting under an aliasflorina15 wrote:its easy to hide behind a keyboard isnt it..
Re: PONTIAN V WEST BEACH
Pretty sure that if you look at the 3 posts that florina15 has posted the first one tells you straight up who it is. Terminator has come forward with a statement regarding one of our players but won't name him. He seems to know more than we do on the situation.Steve#4 wrote:Wish I had a dollar for every time this has been written on this forum, and another dollar for when the author is posting under an aliasflorina15 wrote:its easy to hide behind a keyboard isnt it..

Re: PONTIAN V WEST BEACH
I just want to get this straight:
If you're a SAASL player, it's okay to play another sport on a different day only if your team is winning or competing for titles. Otherwise, you're a distraction and a reason why your team is losing??
I'll have to give up the chess to make sure my c grade bags some more points.

Re: PONTIAN V WEST BEACH
I love how you know how everyone's body works mate...
Perhaps all the guy needs is some rest and he's good to go again the next day...his body may hold up and recover better than other peoples....did he look like he was struggling?
If he was, wouldn't the coach sub him off??
Why don't you atleast tell us the club you follow....I'm quite certain everyone's curious as you seem to think you know a lot about every player
