How to Remove Unruly Members?

Post by roc1978 »

Currently have a situation where members of the club I am involved in are creating havoc. Lots of members ready to leave. Let me know how its been done in the past so I can pass on your thoughts to the appropriate people.

Loud is not a problem. Inappropriate behaviour, personal attacks on particular individuals, running the club down in open forums.

Your club should have a "constitution" (or just a set of rules)

All members you recruit should have signed up to abide by those rules, when they paid their subs (they did pay, right?!), each year

The rules should include not abusing fellow members, not dissing the club in public and blah blah blah ...

If you've got that, then it's official warning time. If you haven't got that, then you're a bit stuffed (but you will have them next season, right? ;))
