inter v downs
inter 2-1 downs
10 men inter with a late winner.....very even game Inter defended well in the 2nd half and got a scrappy goal mouth scramble for the win....
pretty ordinary by the inter bloke that went off his tree at the end of the game and caused a scene....let himself and club down in a big way with his behaviour that wasnt really needed....bit of rage by the looks.
the ref....probably let to much go in the 1st half and then dug himself a hole in the 2nd half having 2 dish out cards with the tackles flying in. its nice to watch a tough game but the ref needs keep control.
sets up an interesting return leg.

what about the Downs supporter who charged the ref with a beer bottle at the end of the game? not the end of this I reckon, lets see what the SAASL do about it.

he was about 60yr old and never got anywhere near the ref so personally I couldn see saasl doing anything.
Re: inter v downs
you need to get your eyes checked out, he was right up to referee, only for one of your supporters to stop him.sufc13s wrote:he was about 60yr old and never got anywhere near the ref so personally I couldn see saasl doing anything.

Very interesting. Doesn't sound like the actions of a Downs supporter at all.pecker wrote:what about the Downs supporter who charged the ref with a beer bottle at the end of the game? not the end of this I reckon, lets see what the SAASL do about it.

Shouldn't be anyone holding glass bottles around the field anyway. I know us at Florina can't serve glassed drinks during the game due to council regulations. That being said we can't stop people bringing their own drinks to gamespecker wrote:what about the Downs supporter who charged the ref with a beer bottle at the end of the game? not the end of this I reckon, lets see what the SAASL do about it.

Re: inter v downs
If this alleged incident has happened, and the ref makes a report about it, what would be the consequences from the SAASL ?? Bill Bailey probably was there to witness it himself ?
Hope it doesnt get leaked to the press

Re: inter v downs
too much club stuff to do, would have got to our game about half time, bit far away for 45 minutes of soccer, probably the first game I have missed for a long time. So I thought I would go and watch a top of the table clash. Don't blame me for your sore losing supporters actions.lisbon lion wrote:interesting you were not watching your own team pecker head...to far to go??????????pecker wrote:what about the Downs supporter who charged the ref with a beer bottle at the end of the game? not the end of this I reckon, lets see what the SAASL do about it.

It could of been a NEAUTRAL SUPPORTER that stormed the ref with a bottle.pecker wrote:what about the Downs supporter who charged the ref with a beer bottle at the end of the game? not the end of this I reckon, lets see what the SAASL do about it.

Re: inter v downs
Remind me again pecker which division you are in? In my eyes the referee had lost control of the game and this wasn't the first time I have witnessed his inept display and if you had witnessed the reserves game that referee also loved the sound of his whistle. Some referees love to keep the game flowing but alas not today.
Re: inter v downs
I got an idea. If two teams can agree to play an official league match without any referees/assistants, and maintain the highest standards of fairness and integrity for the duration of the game, I will personally lead the charge to burn all referees at the stake in a crowded area.brushmancity wrote:Remind me again pecker which division you are in? Glassings are fairly common in Salisbury. No biggy - just another day in paradise.
Re: inter v downs
totally agree, referee was terrible and ruined the game. He lost control and issued far too many yellowbrushmancity wrote:Remind me again pecker which division you are in? cards and the red cards were questionable. Didn't see the reserves game.

Re: inter v downs
Both red card decisions were ridiculous - one was given to a player who had been flattened by a downs player and the other was because the ref had no idea what was going on at the end of the game. Oh well, Inter won so I guess they are the ones smiling now!!

Re: inter v downs
ban the lot of them, every time there is trouble at an amateur league game it seems to be these random people who rock up to the game and cause trouble for no particular reason.Ubietz wrote:Neutral supporters at it again. Bunch of troublemakers.

Re: inter v downs
Bad day out yesterday, with no team getting the points at Inter. As said before a tight tussle ruined by a pretty crappy ref. As for everyone running onto the pitch, it all started when butler got red carded and refused to leave the pitch insisting on having a further go at a downs player. Ref had totally lost it by then, people from both sides started running onto the pitch and there was a bit of handbags at 20 paces. On that well done to inter they got the result and did what no other team has done yet, put a couple past us. Just an observation for such a so called big game the league decided to grace the game with this sub standard ref and two 13 year old linesmen, not sure of the refs name but hope he doesn't get to many more crunch games for any div 1 side. On that note spewing we lost and went still top.............
There is no I in team, but there is a u in suck...
